I started with my Da supporting the club back in 1961. Am that old and live too far away to get into the stadium also might add that I am disabled so don't you think I could now support from the armchair.

You miss the point if an Everton player received such a foul such that in your book is okay ?
Understand. Was no need to explain your credentials. I did not, do not, want to insult you. BTW, I am not a youngster either.
But if you are such a long standing Blue, you should perhaps have a bit more perspective.
PS. I did NOT miss any point.

"everyone could see it coming", no, not really. If that header from Keane had gone in, 2-nil, and everything else would have been different.
But it did not, so now many are clever, saw it all in advance.

Check the match thread - a lot of people saw it coming. I'm surprised we didn't end up losing in the end.

It was negligent not to do something - anything - to turn the tide.

Yep, from the start of the 2nd half it was one way traffic. Their manager made some changes in midfield that nullified Tim and Garner. Both had looked good in the first half winning the ball back quick and progressing. That stopped as soon as the 2nd half started, we could all see a goal coming for them.

I genuinely think if it stayed 11v11 we would have lost that 2-1. In a way the sending offs galvanised us and the crowd a bit to hold out for the draw.
It also put them under pressure to go win it and control the game, they are more suited to being on the break.

I appreciate your educated response, refreshing, unlike the fingers and abuse that often appear.
Anyway, since 1878, our Rome has been built, then demolished, rebuilt, ad nauseam (bit of Latin for you mate).
We strive for Nil Satis Nisi Optimun (more Latin, sorry, but the only bit that most will know) but these things go in cycles, so I repeat... tolerance, patience...
Absolutely fair comment Gedicus, but this cycle has extended to 40 years....it's a long cycle during which to maintain a level of patience and tolerance.
Personally, I think "Nil Satis Nisi Optimum' needs to be replaced as we never deliver on it. I'm not suggesting it long-term, but having American owners maybe we should take a lead from Trump and go with MEGA.....Make Everton Great Again.

Exactly, I disagree with the Grealish critisim. Sure he's not a speedy winger but he always looks to make a positive forward pass. He is one of the few genuine quality players we've had for years now. There's not much movement in front of him. Mykolenko offers nothing going forward (Tony Hibbert offered more and he wasnt known for being an attacking minded player). There's not much from our attacking midfielders or Barry either.
If we had 3 of him we wouldn’t see the ball turn over so easily and we would have far better control of the game. He isn’t gonna create a chance every time he has the ball but he understands the importance of keeping possession. I’m hoping that Harrison gets more minutes and I think they could develop a good understanding in the absence of Dewsbury Hall.

I don't necessarily disagree, I certainly don't enjoy it like I used to, but I figure that's an age thing. The reality is that it's never been watched by so many people. Global TV contracts ensure that the EPL is the most popular and watched league on the planet.
Without trying to sound too generalistic the fans from abroad are hardly a hard sell are they as most seem to care mainly about the 'status' of the club they follow rather than the actual style of football being produced (I dare say most are easily pleased with what they watch) It's the same with cricket where the proper format Test Cricket is dying in a lot of countries but 20 20 is thriving even though its not a true reflection of what Cricket is about. The short attention span and instant gratification generation are getting exactly what they want but the older school fans and connoisseurs of sport tend to be underwhelmed by the shallowness of the spectacle
