I can see how bare 10th would save the managers neck, but this is a terrible league and 9th/10th is low hanging fruit that even Brentford, Sunderland, Palace and Fulham are gunning for.

Again, your problem is with the rule itself, not the card. The red card is totally valid.

Should it be deemed as violent conduct itself? Eh, maybe not, depends I suppose.

Yes, my issue is with the rule itself and the absence of interpretation of intent - as any hands to hair contact is subject to a straight red card. I thought I made that abundantly clear.
