I posted this a few days ago, but I'll post it again, just for your benefit because you may have missed it with this thread going along so fast. From one of the leaflets that came through the door:
"FACT: Britain's official bill for EU membership is £19 billion per year or £350 million every week - the cost of a new hospital.
You have to decise whether what we get back from the EU is worth this"

I have replicated it exactly. It clearly shows a comparison, NOT that £350 million a week would go to the NHS. I can scan the page into my PC and put it up in this thread if you wish.

Bus.

Up there with the worst posts I've ever read on GOT.

For what it's worth, you contradicted yourself with the two words highlighted.

The country gave non-binary direction, not legally binding orders.

No surprise from you, given that you are on the opposite side of the Referendum fence from me. You should take a look at a few of your own posts before pinning such a label on me...

It was cynical and deceitful and, yes, bloody racist, not to say inaccurate seeing as EU membership has no bearing on how many non-EU refugees we admit.

Poor, poor stuff. Shameful.

Fair point Clint. I won't disagree with you there.

Can you tell me though, would you be in favour of unlimited immigration to Britain (from both EU and also non EU countries)?

If yes then hats off to you for principles and consistency.

If "no" then presumably you are similar to many of the leave voters (the non racist ones) who do believe there us an upper limit on the amount of people we can take (its just that you and they might have a different opinion on exactly how many that is)

So your point is that we voted for something ambiguous now let's crack on and let it be done without the usual levels of parliamentary scrutiny and without a second glance at our own constitution.

Right.

Err, I never said it was ambiguous: a simple in/out (or yes/no) is not something that I'd classify as ambiguous. Perhaps I was better educated than some, or maybe there's another reason.

Yeah you see, the difference is you might not agree with what I interpret something to mean, but you just outright lie and chat balls.

The referendum did not detail and order how we leave, and the Leave campaign lied about that £350m. See? I'm stating facts there. You are simply lying.

So you know the result of the negotiations and the governments current position? Ace!

Fire away, millions of us waiting for it.

Yeah, but for balance, that official bill did miss off one very important other FACT, what the UK gets in return for that bill. Circa £90 Billion in free trade seems about right.

Oh, and the Out campaign did use the £350m on the NHS line.

What you have posted is a sentiment, not an actual fact.

Let me give you one from the 'Remain' camp, from Cameron's £9 million+ leaflet:
"The UK has secured a special status in a reformed EU"

What an utter load of crap. That 'special status' was that the other 27 had to agree to what we wanted to do, otherwise we couldn't do it.
Case in point: The EU told us we COULD NOT financially assist the Port Talbot steelworks several months ago, WITHOUT THEIR (the EU's) PERMISSION!
Some special status, that is!!!

Get over the fact that the vote was out...

I don't know what you're smoking tonight, because again you're inferring things that I've not said. Stick to the facts.

I'm not arsed about the result of the negotiations: the majority voted to leave the EU, so I respect their majority-casting vote and will let the government do its work and enact the will of the majority of people.

I'm too busy watching football and eating chocolate to drop on about minutea and fine detail. There are people paid to sort the rest out.

Glad you've brought that up again.

First word of the first line of the first paragraph of that leave leaflet is a lie. Didn't get off to a good starts did it.

Btw here's an official vote leave event

Err... no, no it wasn't. At all.

See below. Just to give you a clue, I'm not referring to Boris Johnsons' hair; it was the slogan behind it. You might have missed it the first time.

You're wrong. And lying.

No I'm not. What is on the billboard is a sentiment. Not a fact. Do you know the difference. And you're spouting crap by saying I am lying. Understand the English language before you start spouting such things...
