“I just put in planning permission for a building on the farm and just to get the planning in its cost me something like £40,000. It’s f***ing ridiculous. Who the bloody hell’s got that?”

One of the reasons we are in this mess. If we wanted to reform our planning system we wouldn't need the EUs permission ffs.
He appears to have been fooled again after all.

That list could grow to fill the next 3 pages and the cultists would still say it was worth it.

(Not that they would accept that any of the issues are Brexit related in the first place)

The hole they have dug for themselves is so deep and the emotion invested in rejoicing their “victory” so great, they can never accept they were conned.

As many predicated Project Fear has now turned to Project reality as the Brexit utopia is exposed as a pack of lies told by billionaires to the gullible working class to remove their rights and freedoms.

Brexit is a monumental mistake, a disgrace and a show of utter incompetence.

Here's a list of some of the biggest porkies told by Brextremists, it really is quite staggering:

I've collate the greatest hits. I genuinely don't know whether to whether to laugh or cry.

  • "Easiest deal in human history"
  • "They need us more than we need them"
  • "We hold all the cards" "Exact same benefits"
  • "Nobody is talking about leaving the single market"
  • "Better trading relationship than before"
  • "No border down the Irish sea"
  • "No reduction in trading standards"
  • "no chlorinated chicken"
  • "Other countries will follow the UK to leave the EU"
  • "frictionless trade"
  • "On June 24th they will be knocking down the door demanding a trade deal"
  • "No deal would be a failure of statecraft"
  • "£350M a week for the NHS"
  • "The Union will be stronger if we leave"
  • "Not one job lost"
  • "Frictionless trade"
  • "No downside only considerable upside"
  • "Trade deals ready to sign on day one"
  • "Oven ready deal"
  • "Trade deals sorted out in an afternoon over a cup of tea"
  • "Turkey is going to join the EU"
  • "no change to citizens’ rights"
  • "Sunlit uplands"
  • "The EU will fall apart without us"
  • "The German car industry will be banging on our door"

How any one can still "believe" in Brexit now with all the evidence available is totally beyond me.

It now really is a case of sense vs insanity.

Just dont see it. I struggle to see how power prices are in any way related to Brexit. Nor petrol, (which is now coming down anyrate, no reporting on that.)

And I have a healthy distrust of % stuff. Like, Sainsburys own brand baked beans have gone up from 35p, to 38p. Apx 8% inflation. But its 3p.

Brexit was a foolish, ill informed crap fest, but it isnt the only reason times are getting a bit tough.

I suppose the only way they are related is that the same PM was responsible for a lot of decisions that made both situations worse. I mean, would we have seen such a big increase in power costs had they not binned off the FIT, the support for insulation and other schemes (or "get rid of all the green crap" as he termed it)?

Expect all border checks, proposed July 1st, to be delayed indefinitely

Officially delayed for SPS checks until the end of 2023. This is not when the checks will happen but when they will hope to have an idea on how to progress.

They are going back to the drawing board after spending 4 years preparing for this.

This is without doubt the biggest mismanaged project I’ve ever witnessed. It has cost businesses millions of pounds, as well as the government spending hundreds of millions on staffing and infrastructure throughout the U.K.

If checks are delayed does that open up blackmarket and smuggling opportunities?

Sorry if it's a stupid question. I have no idea how trade works hence the reason I voted for the status quo in 2016.

Yes; anybody with brain, who is brining any “dodgy” food that would be normally rejected by the EU, would just transship it via a European port and into U.K. - this way it would not require checks by an EU port

Is it just indirectly via the EU, or do we not check anything coming in world-wide?
