Its almost like some sort of 'union' would help.

Capital idea! I think we'd need a referendum though. Its almost like some sort of 'union' would help.
I wouldn't give the British public a vote on whether they'd like to keep their own feet at this point.Capital idea! I think we'd need a referendum though.

OVEN READY DEAL.There is a big difference between being part of a political union, and two markets having sensible procedures to make things easy….
OVEN READY DEAL.
*cough* maybe chuck it in the microwave a bit longer please?
Haha, quite. And yes, you are right to point out that particular ill. However, I don't think our chums in the Daily Mail are, or were, particularly concerned about that.Talking of meals another sector that relied.on low pay and poor conditions is feeling Brexit.

Hospitality: Bullying, low pay and burn-out blamed for staff shortage
As another popular Welsh restaurant closes its doors, what's next for the hospitality industry?www.bbc.co.uk
They will once their fine dining can only serve them up seasonal delights of unsweetened gruel for their main and sweetened for their pudding.Haha, quite. Commenting on my experience of working a for a fairly large transport company in the UK, our driver issues is pretty much all Brexit.
FFS I've just had a Brexit-loving ex-trucker "friend" explain to me the exact reasons for the driver shortage - foreign drivers going home as they can't be arsed with visa hassles and costs since we left the EU - while telling me it's nothing to do with Brexit.
This. Mate of mine only does short haul driving so doesn’t have the ‘away from home‘ bit, but the pay is dreadful and has been kept down by cheap EU Labour. They do a hard job and have to have additional ‘training’ every couple of years. Couple this with the rise in lazy buggers who cba going to Tesco’s and have everything delivered at home and you have a perfect storm…..
So is it the EU’s fault for holding down pay with cheap Labour , coupled with the Lazy buggers or not ? Just asking for clarity.Yet apparently there is also a driver shortage in Poland, Germany and the USA…..must be down to Brexit, nothing else has happened in the last 18 months has it…..

our shelves are fully stocked.Yet apparently there is also a driver shortage in Poland, Germany and the USA…..must be down to Brexit, nothing else has happened in the last 18 months has it…..
Driver shortages are nothing new. The pay and conditions in that industry are terrible.
Ours has been exacerbated by Brexit though. We're talking tens of thousands short.
Those countries you mention aren't having the same problems as we are here. They're not struggling to keep supermarket shelves stacked.
Foreign drivers just can't be arsed with the hassle and costs involved with visas so they don't want to work here anymore, and that, mein dude, is because of Brexit. It's not the only factor, but it is the reason its worse here than anywhere else.
I work in food manufacturing and distribution. I get weekly updates from the hauliers I deal with. They all say Brexit is a major factor in the current driver shortage.

Well yeah, there have been other factors that has effected the industry in other countries too, but UK is hit harder due to Brexit.Yet apparently there is also a driver shortage in Poland, Germany and the USA…..must be down to Brexit, nothing else has happened in the last 18 months has it…..
