No idea Bruce. Home Sec deplores Trump actions and left wing newspaper tries to turn it into something else ?....I give in, what does Trump have to do with us ?.....
Did you even read it Pete? The charities are concerned that the Home Office have directly taken the racist rhetoric of the leave campaign (the latest example of which comes just today in case you've forgotten) and made it official government policy, which is echoing the rhetoric used by Trump against Mexicans and other immigrants.

Come on. You have been in senior positions. It can't be beyond you to connect dots.

help me out here @Bruce Wayne the performative condemnation from the home secretary should be enough for us to set aside the attacks on institution, attacks on judiciary, attacks on 'do gooders', threats to Ireland about food shortages, the push to repeal Human Rights legislation, a push for law and order over rule of law, increased executive intervention and power over parliamentary sovereignty, shouldn't it???
Don't forget the new head of the BBC being a major Tory party donor. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Quite condescending again. But you are a remainer so must be a lot more intelligent a leaver
It wasn't intended to condescend.

But he's been asking you repeatedly (example):

Him: How will we know if the harvest has been better this year - do we count the number of apples, the quality or the size?

You: 'we need to give it 5-6 years then we'll know'

Him: 'Yes but how do we know if it's succeeded?'

You: 'we give it 5-6 years'.

Him: 'then what do we measure it by?'

You: '5-6 years. We wait and see'

Do you see the problem here*

*Or should we wait and see?

Absolutely, fully agree with you that people should listen to experts in the field, I was merely pointing out that they can be spectacularly wrong and everything they say should not be taken as gospel
Experts being wrong now and then doesn't mean that you should consult Reg from the pub and expect an equal quality answer. I mean I'm sure Chris Witty has been wrong on many things, but in matters of epidemics, would you trust his opinion over that of, oh I dunno, Andrea Leadsom?

I'm just giving him another choice. If his EU suppliers won't sort him out. What would I do? Sit there moaning about it. No find an alternative. Supermarkets have loads of cheap British craft beers. If your local i recommended Red Star brewery in formby. Some beautiful beers. I particularly recommended the blonde and the stout.
Heres a site if you want world beers

Dreadful prices for beer to drink at home, it’s a rip off......

Ok. We won't know the facts for a while. Like I have said let's give it 5 - 10 years. Then we as a country can decide. But let's not base it on a few days
The point I’m making is that, you are talking about the outcomes but what would you assess that outcome?

how do you know the outcome is superior to the one where we would have stayed in the EU?

no, but it's wise to listen to others opinions and not just dismiss them because they take a different viewpoint.

Stella...Stella....dear god almighty. If this is the quality of beer that you drink no wonder you can’t understand Brexit. Have you ever visited the Ale House in here and the Beer revisited thread. Stella ffs......
You know that it's quality being sacrificed on our part, and that the result will be a poor choice of shoite mass manufactured chodd as an alternative.

Stella's not a bad example actually, a decent-ish beer but when brewed under an exclusive licence for UK consumption, turns into mass produced tramp's piss.

What about the Japanese chisel maker with a three year waiting list, is he going to be arsed exporting here now ? No way, just buy Draper made in china or Aldi ?

To use an analogy, I’d listen to a priest or rabbi talk about theology and a lawyer talk about the law. But I wouldn’t listen to either of those people talk about science.

I’m open to other points of view, it’s important to listen to different perspectives. But that needs to be informed.

A priest might provide insight into the ethics of a the covid vaccine and the use of hek 293 cells. It’s a different perspective to mine. But I wouldn’t listen to him on whether the science is correct.

Unfortunately I believe in the rule of Law. If a load of French or German nationals turned up on our shores packed in boats the answer would be the same, send them back. This should have been happening in normal times, but in times of Covid 19 more so. I have no problem with anyone, from anywhere in the world, coming here provided it’s done legally. It is the reluctance to effectively deal with this issue, process people and either let them stay or send them back, that allows certain groups to jump on a bandwagon and stir up racial issues. Patel just needs to do the job properly.....

This thread is becoming more surreal by the day......
