Not there when we were in the EU... And for what benefit?

@Bruce Wayne and I have discussed what life would be like with no borders, Bruce came at it from the point of view of movement of people, I came at it from the movement of goods and services. Both of us would love to see the world opened up, but for different reasons. The EU allows free movement of people and goods, but so does China, the USA, the U.K. etc, within their boundaries. The EU however is very good at putting up barriers to trade as the USA has found out. I want the U.K. to be a real free trade area, reducing barriers and giving third world countries a chance of trading in first world markets. The EU will do the exact opposite.....

I’m a member of a Facebook group for people who own a certain home draft beer dispenser. They work with special kegs which are imported from the EU.

It's worth being a member for the sheer beauty of the current fume.

Previously you could order a wider range of beer kegs more cheaply than was available in the UK, by going direct to EU outlets. Simples, place order on internet, courier delivers, happy drunken days.

Now the pesky forrens have given UK orders the big swerve and said, “can’t be arsed with all that export paperwork and VAT malarkey monsieur”.

The resulting fume level, as measured on the new (Imperial) Farage - Francois Fume scale, is quickly ramping up through mildly irritated, completely jarred off and approaching boils my piss angry, levels.

This mixture of outrage and stoic Dunkirk spirit is generating various alternative solutions, such as suggestions that everyone start drinking kegs of British brewed, Ye Olde Badger’s Spaff, at room temperature, in protest, rather than chilled Stella. It’s fair to say this option ain’t exactly hitting the spot for most.

The level of disconnect between individuals, who from their expressed views, clearly voted for Brexit, but are now surprised and angered at the practical implications, suggests that the most basic meaning of Brexit (means Brexit) may not have been universally understood and appreciated at the time of the vote.

Perhaps there is now a growing realisation that membership of the EU wasn’t just an abstract ideological arrangement, involving the complete surrender of sovereignty, payment of extortionate membership fees and the dictatorial imposition of rules on banana shapes.

To do that between nations, however, requires cooperation, which almost guarantees that you will have to be a taker as well as a giver of rules to govern how things will be. The whole Brexit project has morphed into a sovereignty wankfest where people were led to believe that "we" would make up all the rules in pertuity. Even the WTO that so many people think is wonderful is actually the result of huge, drawn out negotiations where we give a little and take a little. That the WTO is governed by all member states, with decisions made by consensus between all member states, and has an unelected General Council that actually does most of the work (a bit like, say, the European Commission) and it underlines how daft this all is. I mean would most Brexiters know who David Walker is, much less complain about his unelected status and ability to punish Britain if it breaks WTO rules?

I suspect it would trigger a flurry of "what is the WTO" searchers to match the "what is the EU" searches the day after the referendum.

Massive selection of British craft beers available. Stopped reading when you said Stella. Looks and tastes of nothing. Same as Becks, Heineken etc. Join CAMRA. Real ale. Massive choice .

You are once again massively missing the point.
I'm just giving him another choice. If his EU suppliers won't sort him out. What would I do? Sit there moaning about it. No find an alternative. Supermarkets have loads of cheap British craft beers. If your local i recommended Red Star brewery in formby. Some beautiful beers. I particularly recommended the blonde and the stout.
Heres a site if you want world beers

And USA and China just about all the big boys are very good at putting up barriers, trade wars it's often called in press. It's not the sole practice of the EU, who are you trying to fool.
