Well I never in a million years thought I would have anything in common with that man.
Just shows funny old world we live in, still would never vote for him though in reality.

He wants to do that for 'his' benefit though, not yours. He couldn't give a stuff about you, unlike the judges and the establishment.

That harsh truth is that you don't know EU directives and how the UK has never enforced the legislation.

2004/38/EC allows nations to remove EU citizens after 3 months if they are not employed or have the resources to support themselves and their families so they're not a burden on social assistance systems.

The UK has never enforced the requirement for EU citizens to register for residence, it's never tracked EU citizens coming or going into the UK. Your gripe lies with the governments who've never used the tools at their disposal.

It also never made use of the funds available to help communities adapt to changes in their population.

One of the EC agencies I work with supports startups across Europe, and of the maybe 1,000 or so we work with, the average amount of cash in the early months of the pandemic was enough to survive for 3 months. The tech giants have lots of cash. Startups, generally, do not.

The larger companies can swallow the additional costs quite easily, they own the market and it’ll be passed onto the consumer.

That such lecturing comes from a bloke who spent his life in an industry riddled with bribery and corruption suggests a level of self-awareness on a par with his hero.

To be fair, it's probably a lot easier to manufacture demand when brown envelopes are involved, so you can understand why someone from the defence sector has no appreciation for other kinds of business.

My wife owns a shop and workshop, manufactures product on the premises, and a fair % of her materials come from the EU. She has arranged for U.K. suppliers to fill the gap...and not a single brown envelope in sight.......

the enforcement agencies at the border don’t know what to plan for, never mind business.

In 20 days we leave the EU and decisions still haven’t been made on large aspects of border controls

If your business isn’t able to survive logistical nonsense and delays, and increases in tariffs which are being put upon them then it’s their fault. They were just a bad business.

We were getting a deal... no tariffs, no threat of us leaving the single market.

Preparing for Brexit is like knitting fog. We still don’t know three weeks from the end of the transition period what the actual details are !
