So if it was a crazy idea and assuming the EU is not crazy, why did they do it.

I would think that if the world was a single country then it would be a wonderful place, and maybe one day it will be. But more of the EU is not the answer......
Sadly I suspect a part of the reason is that there has been a complete breakdown in trust between them and the Johnson administration, which is perhaps understandable given the attempts to break international law earlier in the year.

Dunno really... maybe the past 50 years of trade and support for the EU?
And despite all that, we were willing to undermine it by telling them after lengthy negotiations (what we agreed with them in good faith), we were willing to break because, as part of a negotiation we initiated to break up that partnership, they weren't giving us exactly what we wanted.

So you 100% blame the UK and think the EU has acted 100% fairly? They know fishing is the major obstacle and is hugely symbolic to the country.

Germany understands that and we agreed a deal with a 5-7 year transition period. All agreed...

Guess what? The EU backtracked on that and demanded britain only keeps 18% of its waters.

Both sides haven't played fair

No, it really doesn't, not least over the lives of people who have no vote themselves. What an abominable suggestion. They're human beings, not your pet.
Im afraid it does Bruce. You may not like it... but it does.

A citizen of the UK gets to vote on policies in the UK, foreign nationals living here do not.

I got to vote on whether I wanted mass uncontrolled immigration into continue and I voted No.

Thats the harsh truth

You do realise those pesky Muslims will still be coming in as they are, don’t you?
