Absolute tosh. As I’ve already posted in this thread a good friend of mine and the rest of his colleagues are all out of a job on January 1st as the government have bought the place they work and surrounding grounds as a holding area for HMRC checks on all freight in or out of the local port. Disgusting last minute panic by them. It may not affect you personally but there are thousands who will be negatively affected by the actions of this inept government we have the misfortune to be living under.
Not a word of a lie.

Like all pathetic nationalists, you'd be hilarious if it wasn't for the fact that real people are suffering because of your short-sighted stupidity. People have lost jobs already. Couples that cross borders have had to radically alter the lives already.

arminisgod, you are a pathetic, weak creature. Your creed is hate. You wear your ignorance as a shield. You would be nothing more than pitiable, were it not for that fact that your self-destructive ways are determining the path for us all.

Complete rubbish. For a start im not a nationalist, far from it. I litealrally hate about 4 things in life. So wrong again.

For all the waffle from remainers about how uneducated and 'knuckle draggers' etc you don't half resort to name calling and personal abuse...

Mods???

There does need to be some perspective.

The EU aren't this massive force for good and they've moved the goalposts loads during negotiations.

That's not defending the UK's tactics or this government. They're crap.

Both things can be true.
They haven't really. They've largely been consistent all the way through. They've, rightly, reacted to UK actions, but otherwise been consistent.

Objectively, literally hating 4 things is actually quite a lot.

Literal hated of 'about 4 things' sounds like you haven't really thought this through

It really does depend on what those 4 things are...

Do we have a deal and a glorious future ahead yet?
Based on the majority of replies from Leave voters, we've given up on the sunny uplands and now success looks like:

Things not being all that bad
'just some short term (undefined I would add) impact'
Things won't cost much more - ranges vary
The sky isn't going to fall in

All in all, a roaring success!

There are most definitely people, largely I would suggest on Twitter, who have somehow built up in their mind a notion that the EU are entirely a force for good and beyond criticism.

You may not have seen them, but they exist.
Such folk are about for sure, I'm a staunch remainer and a europhile (as this thread has probably made clear lol) but the EU is far from perfect, needs reform and continued challenge. A French colleague of mine said something really interesting a while back, a lot of Europeans value the UK being a thorn in the EU's side, challenging assumptions, being the sceptic in the room, the reluctant member, he feels the EU needs that from us.
People bang on about EU rules and regulations, forgetting that we're not passive recipients of this but active in the process. The 1974 Health and Safety at Work Act enabled the UK to drive the EU up to our standards, similarly with data protection (my field), the UK was one of the driving forces in constant innovation and legislative reform across the continent.
We're losing the ability to be that force of change and will likely end up often being passive recipients of regulation we have no power to change or influence.
If you're in a leaky tub on a tempestuous sea, personally I think the best approch is to stay aboard and try and fix the boat, not leap into the sea and hope for the best!
