Brilliant from Barnier delivering Brexit mantra right back down the crease, quelle surprise. Welcome to the big bad world of self interest Brexit..

"the EU sets its own conditions for opening up its markets for goods and services"

It doesn’t matter. When we cut the final cord we can do what we like, as fast as we like, without the bureaucracy and anchors of the rest of the EU. Terms such as Singapore/Hong Kong on Thames, accurately describes the ability of a country such as ours to do deals and trade so much faster than the EU. This is why they are desperate to tie us down to their sclerotic rules. They know we will outperform the EU, France knows it, Germany knows it, and this is what is scaring the crap out of them. If they do not sort out a deal we should just cut and run. Our economy is stronger than theirs and the rest of the world will willingly step into the shoes of the Eu’s trade with the U.K....

I'm not blaming anyone just saying services got stretched and immigration got the blame for it. There are a number of reasons but that one reason got the sole blame for it.

When asked why GPS are full and housing is in a bad state people (not me) say if 6 millions migrants hadn't arrived since 2005 we would be ok
You have posted some pure and utter bullshit. on this forum while pretending to be a blue but this takes the biscuit

EU Environmental laws have apparently had the effect of reducing the dredging of rivers within the U.K.. The treatment and disposal of silt, which has been classified as waste therefore carries additional costs as a result. It may be unfair to say that the EU is to blame for not dredging rivers, but there is reason that EU environmental laws, if properly applied, as we always do, have helped to create an environment that facilitates flooding. Freedom from EU environmental directives will allow a more sensible approach to the dredging of rivers and the disposal of the silt......
Just dump it far out to sea
Bit like nuclear waste

So you advocate the taking of another human being life

Yes, in certain circumstances.

For example, Anders Breivik. He murdered 77 people. Preplanned, premeditated murder in the most extreme and cowardly example I can think of.

He gave himself up and admitted responsibility. So no chance of 'the wrong person' argument. And he is kept alive. For what? To continue to spread his hatred and bile while living it out in a cushy Norwegian prison.

He deserves a long spell in isolation to reflect on what he has done. Then, he should be executed, in a humane and dignified way, that wasn't available to his victims.

Who sets the parameters?

It’s just vengeful populism that achieves nothing in terms of societal benefit.

What are the benefits to society in keeping him alive? Can he be rehabilitated? If he can, does he deserve the chance to be rehabilitated? What if he appears to have changed, the parole board let him go, and he goes out and commits another atrocity?

Keeping him in prison, letting him live for the next 50-60 years in relative comfort, and at enormous expense to society, achieves what?

It proves that the rest of us are civilised
