We agreed to accept free movement when we joined the EU. The contention didn't seem to acknowledge this fact, more that we have no control, when we evidently do.

I like the principle of free movement. But it needs balance to work. When we joined, it was just a small number of western, European countries, when movement was roughly equal in all directions. That works.

These days, there is an imbalance in movement. That causes problems and is a genuine issue of concern.

As I said, full control.....not the very limited control that you continue to suggest demonstrates that we have full control over immigration. We don't. We have a three month window to keep out 'undesirables', which admittedly, our useless government evidently doesn't use. So, in answer to your question, EU rules and membership is responsible for that.
Then if that's how you feel, you better hope we don't leave The EU without a deal. Because if we do then under WTO rules we'll be bending over to every country in the world in attempting to get trade deals.

In order to get those deals you can be sure that the countries we negotiate with will be playing the easy immigration /free movement card.

Our current border/immigation controls will make the UK now, look like fort knox compared to what will transpire in a Brexit no-deal scenario.

No.. no we won't. One of the largest economies in the globe doesn't bend over for just anyone.., especially not the 'everyone else' category.

It's like all those claims that letting trans people use the relevant bathrooms will lead to creepy old men claiming to be young girls to hang about in the ladies.

No examples of it ever happening, but it's continuously cited as a justification to oppress a section of society.

And yet, in every study or report the findings are the same in regard to Eastern European Immigration:
  • Younger, working age demographic but,
  • Relatively Middle skilled (a higher percentage of degree level.educated people) who occupy Middle income jobs.
  • They use less benefits & social housing
  • Eastern European migrants pay far more into the economy than the take out.
I would note, aside from the statistics surrounding immigration, that any current EU member state has to approve the enlargement of the EU as North Macedonia and Albania fell foul of just last week.

No, but I’m not only part of the younger generations who strongly voted to remain, but I’m also looking down the barrel of losing my job, home, and my livelihood due to what your bunch voted for. I hope you’re proud of yourself.

why is that ?, I don’t mean to pry but depending on what you do I may be able to help......
