Controlling borders is not the same as controlling immigration. Uncontrolled immigration, or very limited control in a 3 month window, is the issue.

Well, I guess I've kind of jumped in half way through your conversation. I don't care enough to read back.
So, more generally, the point I was making is that the argument that we control our own borders, while true, is also used to mask the truth that we don't have full control on immigration. We can check people coming in, but we can't control how many.
