Well, I guess I've kind of jumped in half way through your conversation. I don't care enough to read back.

So, more generally, the point I was making is that the argument that we control our own borders, while true, is also used to mask the truth that we don't have full control on immigration. We can check people coming in, but we can't control how many.
Sorry can you explain further...how does that work? Or not work as you seem to think. Have I got the wrong end of the stick?

We agreed to accept free movement when we joined the EU. The contention didn't seem to acknowledge this fact, more that we have no control, when we evidently do.

Surely democracy works for the good of everybody though joe.... not just 17.4 million

The nuance is wasted on him mate. Taking back control and making our own rules only really matters if Parliament, (Y'know, that thing that is sovereign and that), agrees with his blunt analysis of a complex issue.

what's why it lost the referendum?
the reason leave won the referendum is because right wing media harnessed the anger at austerity and falsely blamed the EU.
It was all about meida moguls selling newspaper colums, slimy businessmen wanting to short the pound and Russia wanting to destabilize western democracy.
17.4 million people were sold a vile concoction of nationalism and lies and given a scapegoat to take their frustrations out against.
Putting huge poppies on everything and voting leave was merely a sugar coated panacea to relieve the pain of austerity and appease the working class.
You were duped Joey, 'sold a pup' as theyd say in Ireland.
And all you've done is dig your heals in, which is exactly what Rupert Murdock and his ilk want you to do.
Remain spent 9 million on leaflets to every UK household saying once in a lifetime vote , and it would honour the vote....

Did you say you never voted in the referendum?
Can't remember if you did or not - I would have rather seen cross party talks from day one all in hindsight now.....
Corbyn is scared of a GE different excuses weekly now....
