Honestly thought we’d lost the ability to view ignored content, but no. Jeff’s having a conversation with himself where he appears to be insulting himself.

If it was, it would go like this.
UK. we want to leave, we're going to have a referendum, the people have voted to leave.
EU. ok, lets figure out how that works.
UK. great, we have an agreement.
UK. lets put that agreement to the people and see if they think it's the best way to leave.

would have been great to do it this way, and better than how it was done. Just one very big flaw. see if you can think what it is.

(not being facetious btw)

I'm starting to think this is an elaborate ruse. I can't believe BJ et all swallow that by having no deal still on the table the EU are going to swerve first. We know a lot of the electorate believe this to be the case though.

So I think he has done all this knowing that parliament will rise up to prevent a no deal allowing him and the (most of) the Tories to say these people here stopped it. We'll get another extension from the EU during which there will be an election where BoJo the clown takes the moral high ground.

More duplicity and lies coming from the government, I wonder who could be advising doing such things.
Nail and head spring to mind.

well if you put that to the people, I presume the remainers would vote it down in the hope of remaining and the leavers would vote it down because it's not 'leavy' enough.

It would be up to the leave side to unite behind the withdrawal agreement and try and get it over the line.

The problem here is how vague the non binding referendum was.
If you're going to run with it, maybe it makes sense to let the people vote on 'how'.
If they vote for Mays deal, great, Brexit happens.
If they vote against, Put the original question back to the people only this time make them aware that a leave vote is a no deal leave vote.

Either way, if you go back to the people, Brexit gets shot down, primarily because the leave side have made a shambolic mess of things.

Edit: is that the flaw or is there something more obvious I'm missing (also not being facetious)
