The poster in question made several references to 'Londistan' Joe. Maybe you weren't aware as a lot of posts were made in a short period of time, but I hope whatever your Brexit allegiances, you don't wish to defend such comments.

Harsh to put it on Brexiteers though Bruce...anyway the correct term was Londonistan and was originally coined by some of your friends on the continent....

Wiki “The mid- to late 1990s were the years when Britain's capital earned the sobriquet of "Londonistan," a title provided by French officials infuriated at the growing presence of Islamist radicals in London and the failure of British authorities to do anything about it. [...] Raids in France and Belgium had produced phone and fax numbers linked to the United Kingdom, and names of suspects were passed on. Some French officials believe that if more had been done by Britain at the time, the network behind the summer of 1995 bombingsmight have been broken up and the attacks prevented.[5]

I see you have changed your mind over supporting Trump....if you can find just one poster on here who has swapped sides then I will agree with you.....
lol by that logic we’d just call off US presidential elections every 4 years if the current officeholder wanted to rerun!

Just because regular posters on political threads aren’t swing voters it doesn’t mean they don’t exist. There will be people who have changed their minds, either from one camp to another or from undecided non voter to voter. There will also be lots of new voters who were too young to have been eligible for the original vote - don’t they get the chance to express their opinion before such a huge step?

I like to see debate. I like to see people willing to stand up to the majority and debate. Sometimes people go too far and pay a price. Sometimes people cry and complain to the mods. It happens on all sides of the argument. I’ve been on here for 9 years and have never endorsed any form of racism/prejudice, even of the type that I posted regarding Remainers and Labour supporters prejudice towards Leave voters....
You surely knew what @RichardP was doing? Impossible to ignore the racist bile he was spouting re good ship Brexit. To be fair, you liked plenty of his comments but none which were of a directly racist nature.

Likewise though, why give him any oxygen at all with a ‘like’ is what got me. You of course knew he was racist as you read all the posts.

Like you I enjoy the debate but people like him lose the right to have an opinion once their mask slips.

Well yes, you are right on that point, Barney.

Mr. Dominic Grieve, for example, is a former Attorney General so it is inconceivable that Johnson’s latest stunt has taken the anti Brexit coalition group across the parties by surprise.

This option will have already been discussed among them and I have no doubt that a plan has already been put together to combat it, or is well advanced anyway.

The issue is far from resolved, as you say :)
You mean, Dominic Grieve, ex AG and very soon to become ex MP:)

FYI mate, he was not banned for the Londonstan post, far from it. As his activity escalated he began to exhibit the classic behaviour of a troll/extremist that as ever culminates in him posting links from sites, well one site, that is the site of choice for the Far Right.

In short he was not here to debate, he was here to push his warped agenda.

He was a Brexiter, making Racist comments and linking to extreme right websites in a thread about UK exit from the EU.

Come on mate. That guy has been a prolific poster on here over the last week or so and not all of it has been racist. As a leave voter I dare say I've probably liked one or two of them myself.

But as far as I'm aware it's only yesterday he started spouting all this immigration racist nonsense and he's been rightfully banned for it. Has Pete endorsed any of that stuff?
It was pretty obvious what he was from his first appearance on the forum in January.
