You surely knew what @RichardP was doing? Impossible to ignore the racist bile he was spouting re good ship Brexit. To be fair, you liked plenty of his comments but none which were of a directly racist nature.

Likewise though, why give him any oxygen at all with a ‘like’ is what got me. You of course knew he was racist as you read all the posts.

Like you I enjoy the debate but people like him lose the right to have an opinion once their mask slips.
Sorry to butt in again. I don't come on here as much these days so don't read all the posts. But as I said, I most probably have liked one or two of the guys posts myself. It was only as the conversation developed yesterday that his extreme views became apparent, to me anyway, and he was quite correctly banned. But you can't go around criticising people for liking posts made before his true nature became known.

No need to apologise Barney :)

As I said, he was easy to call from his posts in January, one of which was to an Irish poster telling them to leave the country if Brexit didn’t suit them.

I should add here I suppose, I like Pete’s contributions as he is willing to debate a view often alien to mine. I’m surprised he didn’t pick up earlier on @RichardP hence my question.

FYI mate, he was not banned for the Londonstan post, far from it. As his activity escalated he began to exhibit the classic behaviour of a troll/extremist that as ever culminates in him posting links from sites, well one site, that is the site of choice for the Far Right.

In short he was not here to debate, he was here to push his warped agenda.

He was also spamming the thread and making it unreadable.

For that reason alone his banning was righteous.

If you look.tbrough his posting history it's usual Brexit/express/telegraph type responses. I'm not surprised people were liking those..

I think where it started to slip was when he was challenged on immigration and his response was equating immigration with a 'breakdown of law and order' and 'slipping standards'. To anyone paying attention it was pretty clear what his intentions were. He seemed to be an isolated voice in that and there are very few likes of his posts from anyone. The worry for me is that it wasn't condemned or called out by any of the leave contingent, it was almost accepted and defended.

Thanks....

Was it condemned by yourself ?.....any chance of showing who defended any form of racism ?.....
