The problem is that there is apparently no ‘deal’ that is acceptable to this rabble at Westminster. They took over parliament pushed forward a load of alternatives and still wouldn’t agree on one. The only deal that had been negotiated has been rejected 3 times. This is because the Remainers and the remainer parties are not interested in getting any sort of deal, they just wish to remain in the EU and don’t give a damn about what they promised they would do at the last GE.
I would guess that the vast majority of Leavers would have liked some form of sensible deal, but remainer activity cut the legs from beneath the U.K. in obtaining a good deal and Leaving the EU. The whole thing has effectively been sabotaged by ultra Remainers.

Some people say no deal is a massive act of national self harm, others say it is a massive opportunity for the U.K. no one is able to prove either side of the argument. The only real facts are that 17,400,000 voted to leave the EU, Parliament voted to enact article 50, the WA has been defeated 3 times and Parliament could not find an alternative.....
If there isn’t a deal that’s acceptable then perhaps that’s because it’s madness?

And if there’s no real way to prove either side of the argument, then an if it ain’t broke approach was always the best. The referendum shouldn’t have taken place in the first place.

It’s too big a gamble to take with peoples’ lives in my opinion.

He's using a tactic of going for a queens speech as a new PM - The other lot did they not see that coming by moving far too soon? there will be a GE and the country can decide afterwards....

I think this is what will happen, we will have a GE and Boris will obtain a massive mandate... May screwed the whole thing up by flunking the GE, but did however at least move the goalposts for the next GE so it didn’t get in the way. Corbyn has done everything he can to get a GE but is now looking like he doesn’t want one. People may not like what Boris is doing but at least he’s demonstrating some form of leadership unlike the pathetic attempts from May and Corbyn.......

Forget then I go by e vote in the referendum which was to leave..... I would love to turn GE results around, but we cant os why should leaving the EU be any different?
Anyway Boris has scuppered it all today we are leaving hopefully with a deal while no deal was off the table we were never going to get a good deal lets wait and see what happens now there will be a GE soon anyway,.....

The fact is it looks like we will get a chance to overturn the 2017 GE because the government has reached an impasse, exactly like what has happened with brexit. So what is the difference?

When it looked like no deal was the only show in town it should have been put back to the people with that or remain. I have no problems coping with democracy if the whole truth has been provided, not 'this will be the easiest deal in the whole of history' etc. The honest truth. These are the benefits, these are the negatives. If they still vote for no deal then fine, what I don't want is for 17.something million to say I didn't know this was going to happen when for example they struggle further to access the NHS because the problems will still be there and worse.

I don't want anyone to have a valid claim afterwards that they didn't understand, these people cannot be the victims if they have voted for their own downfall.

But we are where we are. The argument about if it ain’t broke doesn’t stack up either because there is no doubt that the EU will be going through a major shift to centralise even more, EU army etc, until it becomes the USE.....

I’m not a gambler in any shape or form, I would not gamble on my children’s futures nor, as I’ve said many times, with the future of my granddaughter. I believe we will grow outside of the EU, it’s too big and too bureaucratic, the U.K. is a more manageable size yet still weighty in terms of economy, military and political clout. We will do just fine.....

There definitely is a lot of doubt. Quite a ridiculous comment to make.

And Brexit is literally gambling with the next generation's future. Just because you think you'll win the gamble doesn't make it less of a gamble

@peteblue you have endorsed several comments of the poop stirring @RichardP.

I honestly can’t decide now if you are just wumming or actually agreeing with what he said?
Come on mate. That guy has been a prolific poster on here over the last week or so and not all of it has been racist. As a leave voter I dare say I've probably liked one or two of them myself.

But as far as I'm aware it's only yesterday he started spouting all this immigration racist nonsense and he's been rightfully banned for it. Has Pete endorsed any of that stuff?

it is more that you say things like "I am far from a fan of his" after praising him for several pages, in fact since he has become PM.
Hes getting on with Brexit and as a Brexiteer after 3 years it a welcome relief - I still feel we will get a deal now...
lets see how the GE goes you should be full of confidence as most of the country wants to remain - lets see.....

I have lived under many hung parliaments so it's nothing new.......The fixed term act has altered thing though by a man in a shed writing his autobiography which I would use as toilet paper......

He has quoted from the same sort of sites, yes (before richardp turned up). He didn't link to them, and that sort of stuff is exposed to the likes of pete and joey so often that noone should be surprised that they repeat it.

I like to see debate. I like to see people willing to stand up to the majority and debate. Sometimes people go too far and pay a price. Sometimes people cry and complain to the mods. It happens on all sides of the argument. I’ve been on here for 9 years and have never endorsed any form of racism/prejudice, even of the type that I posted regarding Remainers and Labour supporters prejudice towards Leave voters....
