There isn't a president of the European Union. Do you mean the president of the European Commission? The president of the European Council? The president of the European Parliament? It's okay, you can take a few minutes to Google it, or this link might help - https://europa.eu/european-union/about-eu/presidents_en

You know what I mean and the point is valid. Were you asked to vote?

The replacement for the dipsomaniac from Luxembourg is who I mean and you know it.

Did your voting paper get lost in the post too?

Well?

You could not be more wrong.

I have friends and family back in UK, still have a UK passport and reserve the right to come back to UK whenever I may wish to. I therefore have a great, vested interest in UK.

One interesting point that was made to me recently was that my opinion on UK may actually be more accurate in certain areas than the people who live there permanently as they tend not to notice the perpetual but gradual decline the EU is forcing on UK, whereas I come back once a year or so and see the changes more starkly.

So, I have a great interest in our leaving EU and will be extremely happy when we finally extract ourselves from this pernicious organisation and are making our own way in the world., in summary, you are exactly wrong!

No no no! You're not getting away with propagating Brexit lies.
The perpetual gradual decline you mention is NOT due to the EU. It is the result of years of unnecessary austerity forced on the UK people by predominately tory governments.
I too live outside of the UK, I visit only once every 2 years or so. Pitiful decline in standards, a shock each time.
But please don't continue the myth that it's due to the EU. That's pure d mail propaganda.

May was and still is a Remainer. What she offered was not just a Remain deal, but a Remain deal that could have left us trapped in EU permanently. Ie, it wasn't brexit at all. It was just another EU treaty.

In 2016 brexit was clearly defined by Cameron as leaving the Customs Union, Common Fisheries Policy etc etc. So May did not deliver what we voted for. Not even close.

Not for the first time, you don't appear to understand what you're talking about. May's withdrawal agreement would see us leaving the EU, but it had both a transition period rather than a sharp jerk out of the EU until 2020 to allow transition arrangements to be made, and it had the backstop agreement to ensure no hard border in Ireland (which you yourself said your expert could install in 3 years). How does 3 years translate into permanent?

Well I and 17.4 million plus others would appear to disagree.

Wrong. Exiting the Customs Union would require independent and separate approvals from both UK and EU. Do you really think the EU would ever approve such a thing and lose one of their major cash cows?

Now you knowhow silly your answer is don't you.

You want to join the naughty boys in the sin bin?

Juncker is the president of the European Commission, which is the civil service arm of the EU. I don't recall the head of the UK civil service being chosen by the electorate, so why would you expect the head of the European Commission to be done so?

Because the EU doesn't have the equivalent of a House of Commons where MPs (MEPs) can table bills for debate and legislation. Everything like that in EU comes from the top down and the subjects for debate are controlled (tightly) by the cabal at the top of the EU pyramid. But you knew that already and just hoped I didn't.

What a way to debate. You really should be better than that as a mod Bruce.

Unnecessary austerity. Then perhaps you could explain why any government of any shade would ‘force’ this on the U.K. people if it was unnecessary, do you think it’s a vote winner or something ?......

Cabal? Anyone would think you lived in a country where a large proportion of its PMs hadnt all gone to the same bloody school.
