I have read most of this without getting heavily involved....I’m too old and thick.
However, one thing occurred to me during the endless Parliamentary votes. Should an MP vote with their personal conscience or in accordance with their constituents wishes? I’m not sure I know the answer. If it’s the latter, it’s only this subject to which it could be applied of course as there was a referendum, so MP’s knew how their constituents voted. My MP is one of the Tory rebels, hates Boris, sorry, Mr Johnson, and, consequently, is standing down at the next GE.
That is a good topic up for debate and I would add another aspect to it; what of the politicians who are switching positions to save their own employment regardless of what their constituents voted for or what is best for the country?

Interesting programme this afternoon on radio 4, about brexit and what it would mean for Liverpool, the deep water dock would very well, others not so.
What's the transportation infrastructure like from there? Plenty of capacity for trucks and trains?

I've no insecurities about the UK. However, I don't see the EU and UK as equals in the same way I don't see the UK and Ireland as equals.
The UK are going all in with a pair of 2's

Again, you demonstrate your insecurity about UK. I believe we have a full house. You believe we have a pair of 2's. You really should have more faith.

The same backstop that the U.K. accepted as part of the first exit agreement?

What next must surely be the response of the EU to U.K. bad faith in negotiations!!??!!

A salutary lesson to all future trading partners.

Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed remember. May agreed to put the so called WA including the backstop to Parliament but no agreement could be finalised unless or until Parliament approved it. The EU knew this. Parliament rejected the unratified WA. Three times!

Therefore there never was an agreement 'accepted' by UK. You are factually wrong to assert that there ever was.

It's not insecurity, why would I have more faith, I'm an EU citizen, not a UK one.
If the UK had a full house we wouldn't be playing now, unless they're really bad at the game, hmmmm

Well, I am a UK citizen and not an EU one so we are looking at the situation from diamettrically opposed points of view.

I am confident so let's see how the cards fall shall we.

Ok. Let’s try this approach.

The PM of the U.K. reached acquiescence of the way forward and subsequently was shown not to be able to deliver.

A reference point for future potential trade partners.

I am not going to try to defend May. She was a Remainer charged with delivering a brexit that she never believed in and therefore 'acquiesced' to a possible agreement that she had no mandate to deliver - ie BINO. That is why the 'agreement' was rejected imho, because it was not a brexit agreement at all. It was just another EU treaty that could have left us trapped in EU forever. This is not what May was mandated to deliver and it is right that she was forced to resign and that we now have a true brexiteer ready to negotiate properly. If EU wants to negotiate, fine. If not, WTO is just fine too. But there never was any legal agreement and EU have always known that.

Her mandate on the ballot paper was to leave the EU and she delivered it.

No, she didn't. The referendum vote, as explained by Cameron pre 2016 would take us out of the Customs Union, Common Fisheries Policy, etc etc. May's wilful and negligent surrender risked leaving us trapped in the Customs Union forever.

That is NOT what we voted for and her surrender document was rightly voted down. Three times!

Surrender document?

If it hadn’t been for the Tory reliance on the DUP then said surrender document was the way forward to achieving Brexit.

It is exactly this ‘surrender’ Nationalism that drives the pro Brexit political commentary and sentiment.

Was wondering how long it would take for the No Surrender shouts to appear. Remind you of anyone ?
