And also the last half decent PM we had. Not sure what that means but...
His PFI projects on Hospitals , and Schools were a boost at the time , but we will be paying for them for a lifetime a champagne socialist imo...... oh, and caused what's happening now with his big EU rebate, and opening the doors to free movement.... no trial period only 6-8 000 will come he stated.......
He also wanted to join the Euro imo it was a very sad day when John Smith died and he rose to power........

If only Brexiteers had been in a position to negotiate this deal, say for example, the Brexit Secretary.

Someone like David Davis or Dominic Raab. That would get us the deal we want!
They were nowhere near that deal May, and two diehard Remain Civil Servants - why do you think it's good for us when the other 27 countries signed it of in 30 minutes...... It is a treaty written up by the EU ........

Chamberlain to Eden, Johnson or Bush, it's like there hasn't been a long history of politicians making decisions about war that hindsight proved wrong. Easy to be an armchair general isn't it?
Ask the scientist wife where he appeared to commit suicide, and Blair stated he had never met him , but chaired the meeting when he told them there were definitely no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq .......
As they say they never went in for the Weapons they went in for the Oil...........

So we can call the politicians ignorant and dopey, but not the electorate? One would presume the chances of the MPs being informed on the matters surrounding the EU are quite significantly higher than your average voter, even if for no other reason than they have access to so much more information than we do, and it's their full-time job. The average voter has absolutely no clue about the workings of the EU, much less the machinations of trade deals and economics, yet we've got a bunch of keyboard generals who seem to genuinely believe they do, and as Joey never fails to remind us, 17.4 million voted for our current direction, so the politicians are explicitly following the will of the uninformed.

And before the usual victimhood trope gets trotted out, I said electorate, not leave voters. All of the above applies across the board (I know surveys of the electorate show that remain voters have higher education than leave voters in general, but I wouldn't expect a chemist to know any more about the EU than I would a horticulture manager. Salt on the other hand...)
They should be paid in salt like the Roman Legions once were........

No it isn't mate. But it's getting to the stage whereby we either stay in the EU, leave with no deal or compromise. Not a great choice really. Most in here would say remain would be the obvious choice but that doesn't solve the original problem that approx. half of Brits don't want to be in the EU. Nor I think does it cater for the growing consensus that large parts of the EU don't want us either.

But hey. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Oh sorry, yes they did.:)
We don't know yet we have not left - if we did leave on April the 12th the EU would soon sort a Trade deal out......

I don't disagree with the result necessarily, I disagree that MPs should be able to accurate interpret the will of '17.4m' based on the word 'leave'
I bet you would have accepted the word REMAIN though........ on the same ballot paper it was not close 1.4 million adrift your were not 3 votes.....like last night's talk about double standards with our MPs on both sides of the argument......

The Tories began PFIs under the Major government. However, it's 40 years of centre right politics that has led to such division in the UK. Europe and our membership is a red herring!

I hope when we leave, 'taking back control' also extends to your sentence structure.

Can you give me a quick break down of how the 17.4m want to leave? Cheers

Blair was no Socialist, nor did he claim to be.

give us the breakdown of why the 16 million voted for a corrupt useless organisation then......
Remain 16m 100% all thought staying in the EU was better than the alternative. If you had asked all 16m to provide ideas for the governance of the EU, I'm sure it would be diverse.

Your turn
