If May asks for an extension which would only be granted if she says she will call a general election/2nd Ref/revoke A50, and Britain have to campaign for the EU elections, does that mean Britain stays in for the following 4/5 years of the EU parliament, I presume you can't leave half way through?

There is a process in the EU for replacing MEPs, but I would imagine the UK would suffer penalties for doing it.

Chamberlain to Eden, Johnson or Bush, it's like there hasn't been a long history of politicians making decisions about war that hindsight proved wrong. Easy to be an armchair general isn't it?

Easy to throw glibs points around, eh Bruce?

Chamberlain bought us 12 months in September 1938.

Had he not done so, we would have had biplane fighters against Germany's monoplane metal-skinned fighters. The potential for Fighter Command to have been wiped out would then have been a potential reality. Chamberlain was a man genuinely seeking peace, against someone who was hell-bent on territorial conquest, if needs-be by war (who had not shown his true hand at that time).

It's very easy to criticise Chamberlain in 1938, when the guy may in fact have played a major part in the UK's ultimate survival, albeit unwittingly.

EU should just tell us to do one, we are wasting there time
I think they'd prefer the UK in the EU, but they seem to be getting fed up with the prevarication.

Imagine having to listen to a 'haunted pencil', the Brexit Bantam, the 'Brexit hard man' and a 'cross between a head injury and an unmade bed', shifting and pontificating constantly.

We leave, trade on WTO terms with the EU, negotiate and put in place trade deals with the USA, Canada et al, while we spend the next ten years waiting for the EU to get its act together for a sensible free trade deal.....

Do you think people some will lose their jobs in the short term?

That was precisely my point. Talk to many Czechs and Chamberlain, and Munich generally, are mud, yet the reality isn't so black and white.
