There’s no real concerns for anything other than a Liverpool in the North West. Heysham has a few Irish ferries but nothing of real note. Salford is a distribution hub and the majority of goods clear Liverpool first

There’s a lot of misinformation flying around. The airports may have a few small concerns but the transit sheds are more than capable
I think the HMRC have suggested that they pretty much won't bother checking anyway and will wave through EU goods.

There's lots of fear mongering going on and by and large, what I've heard from most people is that they are treating Brexit and even No Deal as largely in the Dane way that they would treat any business disruption.

The general consensus seems to be longer lead times and a bit more hassle, but manageable. At least that's what is being anticipated.

It doesn't have to be, but then I don't see why it shouldn't be either.

Can't have more than two options otherwise it would be inconclusive - No deal or remain ? but this just a re-run of the initial referendum and pointless exercise. It would need a swing of over half a million to change the result, people are entrenched and not change their vote on either side.

I think a GE is the only way forward. May has lost all authority and regardless who the next conservative leader is, they need to be confirmed by the public to lead the country out of this mess.

So are labour. In fact if it went to an election I bet the turn out would be shocking... People will protest by spoiling papers
I'm not so sure mate. If by the end of next week nothing has been agreed other than a long extension, I think a general election is inevitable. I also think this will be heavily attended and fought along Brexit lines. I really can't see many people spoiling papers.

However, if by some miracle a deal on Brexit is agreed this week, then I expect May to go later in the spring and the new PM will probably call a general election next Spring. I would not at all be surprised if we then saw the lowest turnout in living memory. A lot of ordinary people have become disengaged from politics over the last few years.

Indeed, no additional border checks for European goods whatsoever.

In fact the government terminology is trade over compliance

The conservative cabinet did not vote tonight ....
They have no intention of taking a passed indicative vote forewords .....the EU are not interested now in non binding votes anyway.....it's a right mess .....

Why would it be inconclusive?

May's deal, no deal, norway +, canada ++. remain,customs union. timbuktu ++

Just look at Parliament and how inconclusive, they can't agree on anything. Can't see the public being any different.

It's only my opinion and you can disagee or not. I'm not trying shove it down your throat fellow blue

'And if you know your history, it's enough to make you heart go.............

I don't think this is something a lot of Brexiteers envisioned when they voted Leave
No it isn't mate. But it's getting to the stage whereby we either stay in the EU, leave with no deal or compromise. Not a great choice really. Most in here would say remain would be the obvious choice but that doesn't solve the original problem that approx. half of Brits don't want to be in the EU. Nor I think does it cater for the growing consensus that large parts of the EU don't want us either.

But hey. Nobody said it was going to be easy. Oh sorry, yes they did.:)

This is why I think the entire thing is a nonesense. There's too many permutations to accurately say what the country wanted - other than leave.

I feel sorry for the people that voted leave on the promise of things that cannot be delivered. It was bare faced lying by people that never thought they would win it, so felt no requirement to operate with any degree of responsibility to the country. Then they got what they wanted in terms of Brexit and slowly backed away from the limelight to spend their time shouting at others for not making good on the promises that they had irresponsibility made.

Likewise the remain campaign was championed by Osborne and Cameron telling people to vote for 'stability and the status quo', to people they'd spent years telling they 'needed to take their medicine' in the form of Austerity. If you tell people with nothing to vote for the status quo, why is anyone surprised, they en masse gave a resounding 'no thanks!'

Given that this should rest with the people of the country, I think you go back, eyes open and ask the public what on Earth it is they want.
