Easiest way to break it down:

Single Market: this allows for the tariff free, quota free area with free movement of people.

Customs Union: Countries all join together to allow for the free movement of goods within the EU once they have cleared customs. Something gets imported into Liverpool and is customs cleared it can the move freely throughout the customs union without any further tariffs being applied
Chris, I'm trying to understand the backstop a bit more. This involves the mainland UK being a member of the Customs Union, but NI will have to be a member of the single market in addition to the customs union. Why is this?

If we are denied leaving the Eu, as we voted for, as the politicians promised they would deliver, Farage and whatever political group he sets up will be the largest political party after the next GE......

So criminal acts from 1885, that were voted on, which criminalised male homosexuality should have never been overturned?

Of course something can be overturned, after it has actually been implemented. I have no problem whatsoever with those wanting to rejoin the EU having a vote to do so, after we have actually left and operated outside of the EU for a decade or so.......

There’s a couple of issues revolving:
Backstop: if a trade deal can’t be agreed by the end of the transitional period (2020) the backstop kicks in to prevent a hard border. Extra checks will be in place on goods leaving NI to England which the DUP don’t like. To end the backstop a committee from both sides will be setup to agree to end it. But it’s known the EU won’t because the deal is beneficial to them
Not sure I entirely agree with this. The backstop involves the whole of the UK being in the customs union so enjoying all the benefits of free trade etc but without freedom of movement. This is something the EU has repeatedly said isn't available so they will want to avoid the backstop every much as we do. IMO.

Future Trade Agreement: must consist on a joint consensus of working towards the same goal, a single customs territory.
Isn't that what most leavers want. Some sort of free trade deal, with the right to negotiate deals with other nations and without freedom of movement of people. We need to comply with EU standards, but as they are currently our standards too what's the big issue. If they change standards in the future then we cross that bridge at the time. TBH, I can't foresee any changes so bad that will mean us giving up free trade with the EU.
Fisheries: the EU can only apply tariffs to British caught fish being imported to them unless they have access to our waters
Not sure this is written properly. Can you clarify.
Governance: the final withdrawal agreement, after the transitional period ends would be decided by a committee to manage any disputes. If anything is disputed relating to EU law then this goes back to the ECJ arbitration panel and they have the final say.
OK. I understand why this would be an issue. But is it worth holding up Brexit for even putting Brexit at threat (obviously I'm referring to people who voted leave here)? Somebody, somewhere has to have a final say on judicial matters. In our law now, as it stands, the ECJ is the highest court. There has to be some sort of concession if we're going to make Brexit happen.

Not that I would want anybody to get me confused with John Bercow;)

But does this link fully comply with the forum rules, specifically rule Q?
