Sorry what does a blatant strain on public services with mass open door immigration, that is obvious even though immigration can be a positive, have anything to do with race, it is about sustainability do you think in 10 years this country can continue with no strain on public services, schools etc with no adverse effects? sorry you're living in dream world.

Once again a remainer making legitimate concerns out to be racist,

Concerns that are not able to be addressed by remain side that lost the vote.

Patronising people calling adverts racist is part of reason we on the remain side lost.
Did you see that broadcast?

It was borderline racist imo, if you don't like my perspective then tough luck.

I was referring to the broadcast not the voters who swallowed the lies btw, so you've got your arse out for no reason.

Oh and btw, you do realise that a pre-requisite of a free trade agreement will be the free movement of people don't you?

You do also realise that we took in more immigrants from outside the EU than from within it last year don't you?

I am not against immigration, and it doesn't have to involve free movement that is just going off Norway model

And you do realise the is a criteria in non eu people coming in unlike open door mass unskilled labour, I am all for having one system that allows people from all over the world to come to UK easily but as long as they have skills and health care to bring that is fine...

If a broadcast was racist do you honestly think it would be allowed on tv, clearly it is your pc liberal lefty view not fact.

The Norway model and Switzerland model are the only 2 that operate within the Eurozone and have agreements with the EU. If we wish to be part of the Eurozone we will have to guarantee free movement of people. This will be on top of huge tariffs and in all likelihood potential limitations of where we can travel. We will now take the best deal we can get.

The favourite to be our next PM has spoken about free movement but seems to think we can impose restrictions on EU nationals but have free movement ourselves . Will you agree that sounds unlikely ?

The only Eurozone countries that have free trade have free movement don't they ?

I do think there will be an early election, later this year after the election of a new Conservative leader - they won't want to repeat the mistake that Gordon Brown made in not seeking an electoral mandate as PM. Of course it will require a 2/3rds majority of the House of Commons first.

Given that it appears that the majority of Labour's core vote voted "Leave" I think they'd find it extremely difficult to do what you are suggesting.

Too early to say what the outcome may be, and it depends upon who the Tories elect as PM but paradoxically I think they've a greater chance of being elected under a "no revoke" banner than Labour.

A national coalition Government committed to "no revoke" created by a pro-European alliance of Labour, leftish Tories, PC, Northern Ireland members and the SNP might be the best route.

The fixed term parliament act now makes it much more difficult to call an election.

There are three ways around this but none are easy.

Firstly the act transfers authority for dissolution to Parliament but sets a very high threshold of two thirds of all MPs. This in effect means all the Government side and about a hundred opposition MP's.

Almost by definition if indications or polls showed it a good time for the Conservatives to call an early election, it wouldn't be such a good time for the opposition parties and so achieving 75% by agreement from both sides of the house is not easy.

The second way is by a vote of no confidence in the Government but then this too would be fraught with difficulty, as that wouldn't be a way a Government would choose to go into an election and as they have a majority would be unlikely to be carried anyway.

The third and most likely way is by passing legislation to amend the act itself, but this would then have to pass through both houses and getting it through the Lord's if an early election was thought to benefit the Government would not be easy.

An early election is being talked about as very likely, i think it's far from that.

We do not have to bow down to them we could get a bespoke trade deal where we do not follow a model and negotiate control of borders, Iceland has a trade deal with china do they allow Chinese to come through an open door? Don't think so.

We can negotiate our own deals and miss out free movement of people.

The is no other example in history of world trade deals apart from EU where people have to be allowed to move freely from country to country stop being ridiculous.

Name another country in Europe that has a free trade agreement with the EU and does not have freedom of movement as part of the agreement.

I said I felt it was borderline racist, and I never said it was fact, I said it was my opinion. You clearly have an issue deciphering what people are actually saying.

Well swiss was let down by their gov and majority of people want a referendum over free movement if you followed world politics.

Does Americas trade deal with Oman mean people can change countries? stop being ridiculous we have the leverage here we are one of biggest trade partners, to think we couldn't negotiate that out is frankly belittling our country.

It's not about "not being good enough", it's simply facing up to the blindingly obvious facts about how economics and international trade works.

Well cameron talked about 7 years roughly it would take to set up TTIP and other eu trade deals inside the European political union. We can do much better than that.

And Singapore has a free trade deal with EU and they don't have to take open borders do they? All I have seen on this forum is myths and scare tactics...

Even as a Leave voter myself I think it will be incredibly hard for the UK to negotiate a 'bespoke' deal where by we have free trade AND control of our borders. The EU know that as soon as this is given to the UK then most other countries in the EU will demand the same.

I think the only way this could happen is with a seismic shift on how countries operate within the EU, and I can't see that happening anytime soon.
