For what?

Yes the EU has given a lot of money to that area, but isn't it basically UK money anyway given the 14b we put in

You can't tell me our government won't invest in areas like Ebbw Vale when nobody has a single clue what will happen

True. But we can state that the EU did. And do.

'I understand you' same patronsing attitude that lost us the vote.

You're implying I am supporting racism by simply ignoring it.

You disregarded the article saying the Guardian is highlighting these incidents because it has an agenda yet it is a factual article and not a opinion piece.

I am simply saying that them facts don't fit with your agenda so you ignore them.

I was shocked that many people in wales voted out, not much immigration and really benefit from eu funding, just proves the is deeper reasons, such as our courts being over ruled by EU courts, laws being enforced upon the welsh people that has an affect on trade, fishing steel works etc can go on, it is common sense really more you think about it.

do you honestly think thats why though or a lack of grasp of the funding situation ? An article today has a welsh lad standing surrounded by investment asking what have the EU done for him , before realising and pointing out that its our money anyway.

For the record.

27% of Black voters voted leave
30% of Muslims
& 33% of people describing themselves as Asian.

Bloody racists!

Lefy's reaction to the aftermath was reason enough why it was great thing we voted leave, shows the vacuum in politics and how it has gone to the point where it has been dumbed down to stage where:

Anyone that disagrees with you is a Nazi or racist, and they are all for democracy until they lose and they want to discount the vote and carry on anyway.

@The Esk - is an early General Election a real possibility in your view?

If it is - and given the referendum is purely advisory - should Labour & the Lib Dems enter an informal pact to each carry a manifesto pledge not to invoke Article 50?

How would you see such an election turning out?

I have my own views but they are probably coloured by me opinion of Corbyn.

I do think there will be an early election, later this year after the election of a new Conservative leader - they won't want to repeat the mistake that Gordon Brown made in not seeking an electoral mandate as PM. Of course it will require a 2/3rds majority of the House of Commons first.

Given that it appears that the majority of Labour's core vote voted "Leave" I think they'd find it extremely difficult to do what you are suggesting.

Too early to say what the outcome may be, and it depends upon who the Tories elect as PM but paradoxically I think they've a greater chance of being elected under a "no revoke" banner than Labour.

A national coalition Government committed to "no revoke" created by a pro-European alliance of Labour, leftish Tories, PC, Northern Ireland members and the SNP might be the best route.

Indeed.

Amazing how many people dont know this.

But the overall result of being in is a net benefit to the country. And the fact that deprived areas of Europe can obtain funding from a non political (in their own country, if that makes sense), I would see as a counter weight to a dogmatic Government who may take some pleasure from depriving areas of their country who would never support them anyrate.

does the investment by central government in the regions indicate that they'd be investing that money in Wales or in Liverpool for example if we've left the EU ? I can't see a Johnson and Gove led government funding multi-million investment in those areas myself personally .

Maybe. Maybe not. That is another debate.

This is about more than the immediate future though isn't it? When Labour are next in power would they allocate more money to Liverpool/Wales than the EU gave back?

Nobody knows...

I feel the is a big divide between London and rest of uk and even south, and wales felt that deeply, when you have Kahn putting a case as london mayor on one side and then boris ex london mayor on other, it allows people to go ignore both of them and turn to places like Ukip and other sources who have recently took seats from labour in welsh assembly, although ukip is silly party labour and tory has let down the working class full stop and ukip and some lib dems and greens are having a real go at trying to take voters from them.
