does the investment by central government in the regions indicate that they'd be investing that money in Wales or in Liverpool for example if we've left the EU ? I can't see a Johnson and Gove led government funding multi-million investment in those areas myself personally .

Why would central government need to invest heavily in those areas when the EU have been?

Do you not think the EU and the UK talk to each other regarding funding?

For what?

Yes the EU has given a lot of money to that area, but isn't it basically UK money anyway given the 14b we put in

You can't tell me our government won't invest in areas like Ebbw Vale when nobody has a single clue what will happen
It usually isn't, as eurofunds don't work like that.

E: I can, and I did. And you also have no clue what will happen, it's all opinions right now isn't it? I'm just looking at what has been and what might not be anymore.

Really ? I thought there was an awful lot of information out there, I think there is a lot more passion now but there was an array of economists & heads of business , economic , financial and trading groups laying out the pitfalls . It was simply dismissed as project fear .

I agree, there was a lot of information out there, and a lot of it was dismissed as project fear, but you couldn't really blame people because that information was accompanied by an 'end of the world' vibe.

True. But we can state that the EU did. And do.

Aren't the leavers saying that the money would be pumped into the NHS instead?

I think we all agree that the nhs needs to be well funded but that money was used for infrastructure projects and objective one areas. These areas will now be neglected.

Obviously it's a vote winner to bang the NHS drum. But as a country we dont do enough to solve the problem at source i.e tackle proverty, unemployment, encourage healthier life styles etc.

The Remain camp being backed by US investment houses was a mistake. They almost brought the EU to its knees after the US sub-prime crisis prompted the European debt crisis. These banks and hedge funds made fortunes buying the bonds of 'peripheral' nations knowing the ECB would have to prop up those govts and their bank.

The fox in the hen house.

What fear mongering Bryan? Forecasts that the economy is going to take a huge hit because of the uncertainty created by a Government that had no contingency plan?

That's not fear mongering it's an economic certainty.
lol

My Mrs has just had a double mastectomy, she was told it wasn't a serious enough operation to warrant her own room, and at night was buzzing for pain relief only to be waiting upto an hour ( no fault of the individual nurses, they are just understaffed.) If only she could've held on for a while she could've had her own ward and personal nurse with this £350 million that has been promised...
