Yeah, know what you mean. I actually lost it with a poster a few days ago after he played the Unicorn card. Not something I'm proud of tbh but it got under my skin. Don't think this poster was a WUM though, I think he actually believes over 50% of the population are thick.
Sorry, I’m just catching up on this thread so not trying to call you out specifically. But if you don’t like the “unicorn card” (which I agree with you on) then you can’t use “over 50% of the population” as that gets under my skin too as it’s factually incorrect. Over 50% of voters in the referendum, not the population.

I’d also like to clarify for transparency that I do think we should remain yet I wouldn’t use the term thick for people that don’t think we should leave. I would say a lot of people that want(ed) to leave were uniformed. And that’s a huge difference. I can’t comment on the people’s opinions in this thread you are referring to as it’s probably many pages back (which I guess is a bit ironic as I’m choosing not to inform myself)

Or the project fear card

I don’t like that a lot of this has been dealt with by people in power, that we should trust (haha), by using buzzwords and phrases. Sadly it’s difficult to believe that any of them can deal with things in a grown up sensible way as opposed to playground tactics and mudslinging. Sad thing is we once again have an incredibly weak opposition who have sat on their hands for too long. They sit in parliament and boo each other and never actually get anything done.

We will be no better under Corbyn purely because the majority of politicians are out for themselves and will say whatever to get people onside. Austerity is (word I’m not allowed to say) but neither party will actually be able to do anything about it realistically. And Brexit will not help in making things better in my opinion. Either way we’ll have food bank drives at Bramley Moore
