Is Broughton a vote leave area like Sunderland ? I think it might be , which I personally find a bit staggering.
Only a small percentage of Broughton actually work there though, the reach of that factory is hugeIs Broughton a vote leave area like Sunderland ? I think it might be , which I personally find a bit staggering.

I work there, for now at least anywayThat’s sort of the point though , whether you work there or not surely you must realise the influence of the place ? I’ve also deffo met a few blues that work there over the years .

Not an unexpected response though from the unwashed brexiteer masses. Tom Enders is the Chief Exec of a massive global company that has its headquarters in the UK. His job is to plan and realise growth and strategy for Airbus, therefore he has to think very carefully about anything he says publically about the Company's future plans.
For him to come out and make those remarks is a massive clear indicator that Airbus will move a major part of their business out of the UK. Not scaremongering at all - hes responsible for the growth and future of that Company.
Not for much longerWorrying statement this morning from Tom Enders (Chief Exec of Airbus)

Something to do with having the heavy machinery needed to dig an increasingly bigger hole.Anyone know why @Joey66 persistently brought up that nice jcb company as our saviour?
While actual brexiteer and proud brit, James Dyson, who already shifted manufacturing out of the UK some years ago, quietly shifts the Dyson hq to Singapore. Nothing to do with a fear of brexit, lower corporate tax rate and a new eu- Singapore trade deal.
If there is a no-deal Brexit, we at Airbus will have to make potentially very harmful decisions for the U.K.,” said Chief Executive Officer Tom Enders, who has been one of the most outspoken business leaders on the topic. “Please don’t listen to the Brexiteers’ madness which asserts that, because we have huge plants here, we will not move and we will always be here. They are wrong.

Airbus boss blasts government and Brexiteers in warning
"Please don't listen to the Brexiteers' madness which asserts that because we have huge plants here, we will not move and we will always be here.
"Brexit is threatening to destroy a century of development based on education, research and human capital," he said in a video. "If there's a no-deal Brexit, we at Airbus will have to make potentially very harmful decisions for the UK."
He added: "In a global economy, the UK no longer has the capability to go it alone. Major aerospace projects are multi-national affairs.
"It is a disgrace that more than two years after the result of the 2016 referendum, businesses are still unable to plan properly for the future. And we, along with many of our peers, have repeatedly called for clarity. But, we still have no idea what is really going on here."

It will be a bit of short term pain for a lot of gain., the EU need us as much as we need them, it is in both parties interests in light of a no deal, to find solutions to any problems and quickly.
I do not believe any of the scaremongering, it happened before vote and it's happening again now.
Indeed, and I still hold that view. But we knew there would be a short term hit.....
I see where your coming from...
But I also see it from another point of view too... Short term hurt for long term gain.
We will be much better off not having to prop up failed EU states.
For all we know the EU could totally destabilise without our input... Will be interesting to see how it goes for them too.
in the short term it will. Did we survive before the EU? Do other countries survive? I think you know the answers to them. A lot will happen in the future.
Really is great to see Rees-Mogg telling the PM to basically form a dictatorship to secure a no deal Brexit.
I don't want to hear "take back sovereignty" as an argument for Brexit ever again as a result.
Ask yourselves the motives for horrible people like him to want this Brexit. Do you really think it's to grow Britain and help the working class?
Or could it be, just maybe, that he intends to personally profit from it? Maybe? No?
Pffft.
