Even if we did have a second referendum there's a very good chance Remain would lose again due to the sheer ignorance of some of their most vocal advocates. Sneering at people and counting the dead really doesn't help your cause, and neither does Tony Blair.

With that said, A No Deal Brexit will be a catastrophe that will take us a decade to recover. It'll exacerbate the things that lead to people voting to leave in the first place. Stop listening to Tory backbenchers and start listening to people who actually know the intricacies of international trade - like this guy.

If your Euroscepticism comes from a good place (it's a perfectly legitimate position to hold given the current direction of the EU), you wouldn't be advocating WTO or no Brexit because frankly, there's a good chance we'll be back on our knees asking Brussels to throw us a bone within months. You can't just flip the table on three decades worth of integration and not expect a lot of pain. I'm not proclaiming to be an expert, but as soon as you know anything about how our supply chains work, you realise it's a bad idea.

Worrying statement this morning from Tom Enders (Chief Exec of Airbus)

Airbus boss blasts government and Brexiteers in warning

"Please don't listen to the Brexiteers' madness which asserts that because we have huge plants here, we will not move and we will always be here.

"Brexit is threatening to destroy a century of development based on education, research and human capital," he said in a video. "If there's a no-deal Brexit, we at Airbus will have to make potentially very harmful decisions for the UK."

He added: "In a global economy, the UK no longer has the capability to go it alone. Major aerospace projects are multi-national affairs.

"It is a disgrace that more than two years after the result of the 2016 referendum, businesses are still unable to plan properly for the future. And we, along with many of our peers, have repeatedly called for clarity. But, we still have no idea what is really going on here."

Airbus employ 13000 staff across two sites in the UK, Filton (near Bristol) and Broughton (near Chester)

Tom Enders is yet another German who appreciates what a no deal will do to the German economy. We know that no European nation can go it alone in Aerospace, that’s why we work together. Being in or out of the EU is irrelevant to this sort of cooperation. We work with the USA to build the new F35, but we are not part of the USA. We work with people because we happen to have the skills to do so......

Mate I’m a remainer but we are where we are , it’s no deal that terrifies me . It’s the potential to be disasterous and the fact that pretty much everybody accepts that it just feels incredibly frustrating that so many see so keen to ignore it and sacrifice so much for the ideal of Brexit .

How do you know how long it will take ?.....

You think his concern is the German economy per se or airbus ?

A deal will be done. Not one we would have wanted, due to Remainers helping the EU with their negotiations, but Germany will twist the arm of Brussels and the Irish backstop will be tweaked sufficiently to get May’s deal through.....

This is the bit for the life of me I’ll nened ever understand . How is it my fault that something is as difficult as I said it would be rather than an easy as you claimed it’d be ?

The leavers said it’s the easiest in history , we’ll be doing deals the morning after the vote etc but everyone who said no that’s ridiculous it’s their fault it isn’t that easy . Just feels like upside down thinking to me.

You buy a mystery box , I tell you it’s a rip off but you tell me it might have a iPad In . when you open it it’s got nothing inside but an old sock and you somehow blame me . Bizarre thinking .

In fairness to the second part of your post I do think backstop tweaking could see something pass . I think the deal is awful and why anybody would find it preferable to where we are I’ve no idea but it’s significantly better than the no deal alternative so yeah on that pete I hope you’re right .

It should have been. It’s only the EU politicians and our own remain side who set out to come up with the worst deal possible so that we would change our vote. Personally I am more than happy with No Deal......I think we will do well.....

Yep deffo the remainers fault this has gone wrong , absolutely no doubt . Not the people who didn’t have a plan they seem blame free .

Looks for sarcasm font .

His primary concern though is going to be airbus isn’t it , I mean I’m not saying the German economy won’t factor into his thoughts but his job is airbus that’s going to be his main concern . That feels fairly obvious and not at all contentious

Every German led company will say something similar. And every German led company will receive some form of ‘benefit’ from its grateful government.....

Sick of being lectured by the oldies to be honest. You've had your time with your safe jobs, cushy pensions, dirt cheap houses and free further education. You've collectively creamed as much as you can from the country and now you're hanging about waving your angry bitter fists to the sky, thinking you know it all because you've been knockin' about for a long time. Let's face it, you can sleep easy knowing that Brexit probably won't affect you too much because you're either financially secure or you'll be dead.

All these ceo’s Not caring about their own companies and caring about the German economy first . Imagine if we had some over here .

I mean maybe it’s possiblr a lot are saying it because it’s true but who knows .
