Think David Cameron not only messed up by calling a refendum and not having an exit plan in place just incase, but also if we'd remained he would of sold one of are very last and most important bargaining chips (the right to withdraw our consent from future treaties) in that great new deal he worked out with the eu

This video explains quite a bit and is worth a watch

@Seanjd Watch the above vid in its entirety. Questions & points answered, by someone far more politically savvy than either of us...

Well said The Esk. Living just north of the border, we are going to be hit with a double edged sword. No one will invest in Northern Ireland for the foreseeable and european funding has been our lifeblood for 30 years. Add in political instability and the spectre of another physical border and these are very concerning times indeed.
I moved to Derry four years ago, from Liverpool. It feels like the whole island has been destabilised in the course of a single day. Couldn't believe the parties here supporting Leave. Blind, stupid, clueless. People feel cut adrift.

Young people's prospects are not exactly amazing as it is though, and they're worse in many EU countries. We don't know what the long term impact on the prospects for our country will be and whilst that's possibly a bit scary, its also exciting. We should have a bit of faith in ourselves to come out of this stronger.
Fingers crossed then Lads. This has been well thought through!

They'll give it to private healthcare companies (with Tory board members) in order to fill our NHS wards with over-paid private nurses because they won't provide the actual funding to hire actual NHS staff.

That's the best case scenario. The moneys gone, it will be needed to replace the massive tax losses from the damage to the economy.

We should never have had the vote on this imo, Much to big a decision to be given to the general public when the vast majority don't have a clue what the rerepercussions are (I include myself)

The decision to hold the referendum wasn't so much about the referendum itself as it was about the Tories winning the last election. It was Cameron et al's way of nullifying UKIP taking votes/seats from them. I think they also hoped it would finally lance the boil of Europe within the party, which has been around since Thatcher's time. Looks like that plan's worked out really well.

Fingers crossed then Lads. This has been well thought through!

Nobody is claiming it has been well thought through. Doesn't mean all we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best though - it has happened and we all have to deal with it. Complaining that this or that would or wouldn't have happened if we has remained won't make one jot of difference now. We need to be pragmatic and have some faith in ourselves moving forward.

Pound slump has continued in Asian trading.

If the 23rd of June was independence day, then the 26th of June will likely be Doomsday.
