I moved to Derry four years ago, from Liverpool. It feels like the whole island has been destabilised in the course of a single day. Couldn't believe the parties here supporting Leave. Blind, stupid, clueless. People feel cut adrift.
Johnson has now said that other than European law he expects no change. The result was not overwhelming. Does anybody know what they voted for? Yes they do. Do the out politicians know what they stood for? No. Shambles, shambles. In the meanwhile zillions has been wiped off the value of stocks all around the world. The leaders of leave are nutcases who have conned the public.Nobody is claiming it has been well thought through. Doesn't mean all we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best though - it has happened and we all have to deal with it. Complaining that this or that would or wouldn't have happened if we has remained won't make one jot of difference now. We need to be pragmatic and have some faith in ourselves moving forward.

I hope that makes you feel better, but pointing all these things out is unlikely to make any difference to the result.
Pound slump has continued in Asian trading.
If the 23rd of June was independence day, then the 26th of June will likely be Doomsday.

Johnson has his fingers crossed that the EU will act first and demand that the UK propose Article 50. That way, when/if things go belly up, he can blame the EU for forcing the UK too quickly into leaving. I think he is getting cold feet.
No. But you can begin to see the outcome will be different from what people think they voted for. How many times have they got to wave your wallet in your face until you realise you have been robbed? I accept the vote although I disagree, but the voters have been conned and that should not be acceptable to anybody.I hope that makes you feel better, but pointing all these things out is unlikely to make any difference to the result.
Spot on!So with Boris' latest comments it's becoming glaringly obvious that the leave camp have no intention of actually leaving us out of the single market, and with that goes any hope of curbing EU immigration. Without the promise of curbing EU immigration there never would have been a leave vote.
The entire electorate has been lied to and the referendum has been exposed as a complete sham.
Can't wait to see the fume from the backwater racists in this country when they realise they've been used as a vehicle for the Boris Johnson leadership campaign. Hilarious and disgusting in equal measure.
This has surely been the whole point of the "Leave" campaign from day one. The EU has gouged us for so much cash for so long that we are now such a big net contributor they can't survive our departure. That Guardian comment is getting widespread attention, but in reality I think it's also possible to look at Cameron's non-invocation as a real opportunity. Don't forget that Boris' original position was that this referendum would only be the start of a renegotiation with the EU - and that only a "no" vote would get the attention of EU leaders such that a true discussion over changing terms can take place.
I don't think it's outwith the realms of feasibility that, behind closed doors, our leaders could talk to Merkel and co and get a promise to have a new treaty that aims to return some sovereignty to member states (not the UK alone, but everyone) - and a permanent delay to the triggering of Article 50 would pass parliament. In the meantime - we stay in, and nothing changes.
