That's a very broad question. Care to be more specific?
General training of school leavers bruce too many taking the academic route to university never leading to a trade = the UK has a skill shortage.....
Day release with a government grant to the employer is the way back imo..... with a hands on skilled qualification with a full time job at the end if successful -The tories have destroyed that, and no opposition has put an alternative to it.......

A skill shortage in what? I asked you to be specific :)

Not the ideal candidate to help reform the EU then is he?

He is indicative of everything wrong with the EU and the absolute prat the UK have to engage with as you say for the brexit negotation...

Most EU member nations don’t want a United States of Europe. Each country has veto power or the ability to opt in or out of policies. Up until now the U.K. was a good example of this. Ireland has forced treaty rewrites to reflect neutrality and tax control. The single market is the major achievement of the EU.

Housing shortage - ask yourself getting a decent tradesman in times served its a struggle now - decent mechanics in garages many closing- etc etc basic skills dying away as the real tradesmen are retiring early or being made redundant as our manufacturing industries have been decimated under many governments over the last 20 years - let's face the car industries we don't engineer parts anymore they are just mainly self assembled from parts outside the country, I know it is hard to get back , but leaving the EU would be a start at least.....

He's an mep, they contribute to debates. What official role or power does he have to create a federal Europe?

He is an EU Zealot. Anyone who has ever listened to him speaking understands this, and he would freely admit it. He is also one of the most powerful EU MEP’s, representing the EU Parliament in the Brexit talks and is angling for the top job in the EU. So he’s probably nobody.......
