That's not the argument and you know it - the new vote is simply because the whole thing is a massive circus and it's become abundantly clear nobody knows what we voted for because nobody has a clue what to do.

We voted to leave; we don't vote on how to leave. The limitations of that referendum question are abundantly clear, and yet another indication of why the bloody thing was non-binary.
I mentioned at the time it was only advisory and got told to shut up.

This should be good. If you get a serious, workable, realistic response to this I will support Liverpool. You will get a swerve of an answer, of this there is no doubt.
Don't forget the question;- How would you go about sorting out the NI situation then?

Re the bit in bold, it would be interesting to hear but I doubt we'll get any reasonable answer.

The response so far in true unionist fashion has been not to budge an inch and do nothing, other than keep repeating "we don't want a hard border in Ireland" and blame the EU for raising the issue.

Exactly what you'd expect when they are clinging to power dependent on the DUP. And that won't change unless there is a general election, so a no deal Brexit seems inevitable.

Johnson wants a bridge to solve the border issue on the island of Ireland.

Boris Johnson re-iterates calls for bridge linking Ireland and Britain

Quite telling from him.

"The former foreign secretary has claimed he only agreed to support the plan because he was "absolutely reassured that this was just a form of words that was necessary to float the negotiations off the rocks".

No wonder no one believes the Tories. Their duplicity on Ireland has always been a hallmark of their deceitfulness.

Not giving in to the deluded and arrogant demands of a member who wants out is not acting like a spoilt child either. The ones who are acting childlike are those in our Government who think they can cease to be a member of a club, and then get all the best benefits of being in the club, without paying them money, and expecting the leaders of that club to go along with it.

Good listen with Steven Nolan the other night, intervewing Ben Bradley MP,
Starts about 10.24 and when Ben Bradleys line goes down forward to 33 minutes to continue.

Suffice to say the Tories are clueless about Northern Ireland.

A number of proposals have been put forward, and just rejected by the EU out of hand. People such as David Trimble believe that it’s really only a matter of goodwill and use of existing technology required, but the EU are determined to blow this out of all proportion for negotiating purposes.....

I see our friends in the EU ( Juncker) are saying no U.K. planes will be able to land in the EU and that pets will have to go through a four day quarantine...it’s not even ‘project fear’ anymore, it’s ‘project let’s be as stupid as we can’.

We should just walk away, keep the £39-40Bn and trade on WTO rules. This nonsense will not go away, but I’m sure that May and Hammond will cave in anyway......

hard listening that, almost felt sorry for the young fella but he really didn't help himself.
It must be so frustrating to live in NI where the British pols dont give a damn about you and then they're shocked when the part of the UK they've so badly ignored happens to be the major obstacle to getting what they want.

Funny, that's not what Philip Hammond said today.

ICAO have governance of international airtravel not the EU unless they trump the UN these days on the subject.
Been that way since the Chicago convention just after the war.

The only suggestion I’ve seen from Trimble is for the EU to issue an exemption over the question of a border which is really only half an answer to the problems and also doesn’t seem particularly well thought out or inventive . Is there anything else he’s said ?

The United Kingdom has said no to everything proposed by the EU. That's because our Tory government is being held to ransom by the Unionists in Ireland. They have said no to everything. Where's the goodwill there? How will existing technology stop border crossings across a 300 mile border?
Looks I am doomed to continue supporting Everton. The 'answer' to EFC78's question lacks credibility, clarity or detail. Laughable.
