What utter plums that is

VAG make over 10 million vehicles a year worldwide. 500,000 of which hit the UK market, if tariff price increases and lead time delays reduces their market share by as much as 20%, than that's only 1% of their total volume.

Given the piss weak pound this market is already far less profitable for them, and the idea that having to divert 1% of their global production to new, emerging or more profitable markets is going bring them to their knees is completely clueless

Who said anything about bringing people to their knees, but I'm glad you've pointed out that they won't be bothered.....

"Almost one in three cars, or 810,000 cars sold in Britain, come from Germany, making the British island the biggest export destination for German car producers. It is around a fifth of the total number the industry exports worldwide, according to the German car association "

No probs.....

Let me put it another way. We currently lead an enhanced forward presence battle group in Estonia as part of NATO. Now just imagine that the EU stitch us up and punish us for Brexit. Now imagine that the Russian war games two years from now actually roll over the Belarus border, through the Sawalki zone and meet up with Kaliningrad. Now what ? Do you think the mood in the UK would be, one of let's go to war with Russia, in Europe, to save the three Baltic countries who just stitched us up with the rest of the EU ? What do you think the current view of the three Baltic countries would be, seeing as this scenario is the most likely one to happen ? Let's stitch up the UK because we can ?....

This is not about flexing muscles, it's about a willingness to help......

That's related to your obligations as a member of Nato. It's unrelated.

Of course it is. How many countries spend what they committed to defence ? How do you really feel the UK people would feel about this, especially if Corbyn had just taken control. It is related and it's valid and to ignore it would be foolish and the Baltic countries understand it......

I don't see what you're going for here. The Baltics are all NATO members, as is the UK. You leaving the EU shouldn't have any impact on your duty as a Nato country.

I don't see what Corbyn has to with this? But again, i'm not in the UK.

That's news given that I've just told you that VAG account for 500,000 of them, of their 10m worldwide production....so by my maths that's 5%. Aren't a shed load of BMW's total i.e.the Mini produced here btw?

You assume that the cars for the UK market are all produced in Germany btw, they're not, some of VAG's UK cars come from Argentina and Brazil. It's a bollocks argument Pete.

I'm just quoting the German car Industry who are referring to cars made in Germany and exported to the U.K......but you're probably right......

TBH Brexit could easily mean the end of NATO - which is probably why Leave was funded so well, and so mysteriously.

What is it about being frightened of the number 27. Most of these are tiny countries. I've posted this before.....

Now look at who suffers the most and ask who has the most to lose.....

If both sides stopped trading with each other, yes in straight cash in hand terms the EU would lose more, but as an overall effect on the economy the UK has far more to lose given the importance of the UK to individual EU countries compared to the importance of the EU as a whole to the UK.

Take Germany for instance, they sell 7% of their exports to us and buy 4% of their imports from us. Surely the UK who sends 44% of their exports to the EU and imports 53% of goods and services from the EU has far more to lose from Brexit?

It's not going to end well. Tbf they've played a tactical blinder. Shame it's at the expense of the people she's supposed to be acting in the interest of -- let's hope that this is dealt with by the Lords/Judges.

Anyone who voted for this, of any party affiliation, is an enemy of democracy.

The quotes from Corbyn in that article sum up what an utter pleb he is. Jumping round telling everyone what a shocker it is after the fact rather than actually raising awareness of the problem before hand. Too busy showing how hip and down with the yoof he is, is our Jeremy. Exactly like the Brexit referendum again.
