Oh..... 120 Pounds for my 100€.
Might come over there next weekend and stock up on HP sauce and piccalilli

Might even buy a weekend house while I'm there, won't be long now..

I would hold off for a bit lad.
Judging by how much more expensive imports are from € countries you might be a few £ worse off yourself

Lighten up? Have you not read some of the response in this thread? The likelihood that @Allezfan will lose his job for example? If you want to lighten up, bugger off out of this place you weapon.

Yes because soley because of this people will lose their job and this never happens elsewhere eh? Not like all the industry moving overseas has lost jobs, the government destroying industry in the past. Only this has cost people their job?

It is all knee jerk reactions right now because no-one knows what will happen. Course there will be job losses but there could be jobs created as well down the line.

There is no point right now in kicking off on the internet about it, the vote happened and everyone, or most had their say. If the remain campaign had spent a little bit more time teaching people about the eu and less time with fear tactics and threatening to raise taxes 2 years early then perhaps the vote would not have been against them

Just woke up to this, amazed.

I worry for the UK, i really do. Economically this could be horrific. I worry myself about contagion.

An independent UK? I can see Scottish and Welsh independence referendum in the next couple of years.

Wales voted for it.

Scotland is effectively gone now, matter of time. Probably Northern Ireland joined Rep. of Ireland as the reality of the decision hits home.

It's okay mate. I just genuinely did not know who to believe, who was right, who was wrong and what the knock on effects were going to be, despite trying my best to understand everything involved. I simply could not make a decision I could guarantee I would not regret, which is arguably me being responsible.

I have 100% forfeited my right to complain, I agree.

you can still moan mate its your right as a British citizen to moan about absolutely everything.

You're a lucky man.

As a nurse I suspect she would be alright whichever way the dust settled, but the vibe of the last few months has been unsavoury to say the least. I haven't met a single EU national that supports leave, and all that I've spoken to have relayed feeling less welcome than at any time in their lives in Britain.

It wasn't said as some kind of threat, merely saying that with an immigrant for a partner and of immigrant stock myself, a country that has put wind in the sails of Farage et al is not one that I want to live in.

Can I come with you Bruce..............sail off into the sunset on a sailing ship..........bit like the end of Lord of the Rings now the evil two-faced one is making its move for power.

If the leave vote hadn't lied to the voters about NHS money perhaps they made not have made the wrong choice.

60% of your exports go to Europe. You can't really replace those customers overnight.
not overnight no, but we have at least a 2 year buffer to start the negotiations elsewhere.

no idea if it is possible or not, so not throwing stats at you lol Just think the world does not end with the EU and many other countries survive on trade without being an exclusive member

I saw a table that shows the younger generations were overwhelmingly pro stay and the older the generations got, the more they were pro leave.

So they get all the nice house prices and pensions then scuttle the ship on their way out.

Thanks guys.

No mate, we did all the work to buy the houses then we get to leave them to the kids.....you're welcome.....

Brexit is a big deal affecting more than just the UK and the EU, even just a regular changing of government causes mayhem if it wasn't expected.

Monday will bring cooler heads......

If I'm a capital invester, I move away from the UK and stay away. Whether it's Friday, Monday or Wednesday would make no difference.

The markets will stabilise somewhat but "cooler heads" won't stop this recession. You just have to cross your fingers and hope it's not as deep as it looks like it will be.

The only hope is in the making of Bilateral trade agreements locally some of this may be rescued.

Likely the whole UK legislitive system will have to be torn down and rebuilt as a result, ha Boris Johnson just the man for the job haha.
