Lighten up mate. what happened has happened, no point in just looking at it from a doom and gloom perspective because it isn't going to affect the results.

I'm a personal believer in finding joy in most things, even if the country is/isn't now doomed.

Nope. Can't "lighten up" about being trapped in a stupid decision. If I could get an Irish passport, I'd do so. Not everyone has that chance though sadly.

I saw a table that shows the younger generations were overwhelmingly pro stay and the older the generations got, the more they were pro leave.

So they get all the nice house prices and pensions then scuttle the ship on their way out.

Thanks guys.

I wonder how many years of EU membership that £250 billion would get you? Again though, none of this was actually predicted at all.
I feel sorry for you lot as the Germans will now have to fight tooth and nail to hold the EU together and unfortunately that means making an example of Britain. The potential economic consequences are too dire to allow other countries such as my own (Netherlands) entertain the idea of following suit. Brussels has no choice but to deal extremely harshly with Britain. The loss of trade with the UK is an acceptable loss that can be dealt with; the economic fallout of the complete collapse of the EU is not.

Their Pensions have gone down the toilet this morning...

With absolutely no wish to offend you mate, by not voting either way you in effect forfeit the right to complain about what happens as a result of this vote.
Not voting is, in my opinion, an abdication of responsibility.

I stress, I am not intending to offend you personally or any other non-voters, it's just my firmly held belief that not voting is wrong.
I personally vote mate because i was educated to do so. I know what it was like for people like me, for women, for anyone who wasn't rich to not be able to vote. so based on that knowledge i appreciate the fact i have that oppertunity.

I just wished more people who don't bother could be educated as well.

Lighten up? Have you not read some of the response in this thread? The likelihood that @Allezfan will lose his job for example? If you want to lighten up, bugger off out of this place you weapon.

I think you are right on this. Sadly there is no way Labour could win a GE especially given the situation in Scotland with SNP.

Potentially this is the end of the Labour Party, the final nail in the only party that could ever have represented the poor, the sick or the needy.

What a sad, sad state of affairs for the working classes.
Kier Hardie will be turning in his grave.

I'm a fairly patriotic Brit but I suspect I'll be doing that at some stage to allow my planned move/retirement to Europe , doesn't change the financial damage I suspect I'll suffer though .

Or look at this way. The older you get the wiser you get, hopefully.
