Not at all, a GE is not binary nor absolute. If the party of my choice does not form the Government then it usually sits in opposition and can at least express its views and hold the executive to account. Furthermore in 5 years I have the chance to vote again.

With the EU referendum the losing side, particularly the Remain side, seemingly have no voice thereafter, it's almost treason to express a view contrary to the 'result' and of course, once enacted cannot be reversed.
So once we are alone we will still have a GE therefore you, like everybody else gets their chance to vote, am sorry mate but its 'sour grapes' from the remain side. You say 'have no voice' but you will inside the UK perimeter.
I find it disturbing and sad that votes from our Mothers, fathers, cousins, mates, etc is not being held as valid because they are not politically knowledgeable, but yet you are willing to fight for some corrupt establishment and foreign politicians who have probably never set foot in the UK to decide what s best for our country!

Oh they have a voice. An endless whining voice that makes itself very well heard in the comments section of the Guardian.

Aaron Banks - a billionaire fighting for the rights of the disenfranchised, by disenfranchising me.

For those of you weeping about the lack of democratic impulses from the Remain side, what would your opinion be should, say, the Liberal Democrats win an General Election on an explicit platform of not leaving the EU?

Absolutely fine with it.

As a friendly opponent in this particular debate, allow me to contradict you and say that you can (and probably will) play a part in the ongoing campaign which Remainers are already organising. Even if you choose to eschew formal links with the Lib Dems or any new party, nothing to stop you standing in local - even national elections - as an independent.

So The Esk is a Lib Dem politician, or aspires to be...?

Referendums, in any country, no matter what is actually on the ballot, tend to hinge most on one question: "are you generally happy?"

I don't think the UK is a generally happy society these days, but this has little to do with the EU.
Absolute Rollocks and you know it you lost so just live with the fact we will leave the EU!
