And to many enemiesHe's rode the rollercoaster all this life; eventually, it's all going to go Pete Tong for him, as he's taking too many risks.

I'm going to paste the first thing I see on Twitter and this is it.
Does he think this is good or bad? ?
Genuine question.
I use twitter all the time. I used to love it, you could kinda self curate info on what ever you're interested in. Sure, it's a echo chamber but not much different to buying your paper of choice back in the day.
Over the last year, I noticed a huge change in the algorithm. Now, after a derby, I'd get hit with tonnes of RS content presumably because I clicked on a good few Everton V Liverpool tweets. Eventually it was the same with everyone we played. I don't care what Wolves twitter is on about.
And it started happening in politics. Just Lauren Boebert and MTG tweets, puke.
And that was before Musk bought it.
I'm not opposed to paying for a service I use a lot but I don't want to help him out.
So the million dollar question, Has anyone got any good alternatives? What's Bluesky?
I still have a FB account but that's primarily to keep in touch with old friends and family from home.
I never really took to insta.
Sportofact will rise like a pheonix though, especai;lymas they are looking at reusing deactivated account names!Never used Twitter a great deal apart from Sportofact, but it was the right time to jump off and deactivate my account anyway. It was a grim platform before this goblin took over, god only knows what it's going to be like now

I kind of get that but a few years ago, it was a case that if you followed the right people, they'd retweet stuff that you might not have considered, giving you a wider picture. Also, when it comes to politics, I'll happily follow politicians I don't agree with, just not the sensational hate mongers. The governor of Mass is a republican who I don't much care for but he's not a hateful idiot so I follow him. But now, because I follow him, twitter thinks it's important for me to hear what ted Cruz thinks.See, I don’t really understand why people use it, if not to be barraged with different opinions. Doesn’t filtering it to only see certain things, even when really specific topics garner lots of ‘wham’ negate the reason you’re actually there? Using your paper analogy, you don’t have to read everything in that paper, you visually cherry pick stories and journalists you like, while skipping over the ads and guff. Would what you’re suggesting leave loads of blank pages and make you feel like your not seeing the whole story?
Also thank god for GOT, think I'd be fairly lost without it.I kind of get that but a few years ago, it was a case that if you followed the right people, they'd retweet stuff that you might not have considered, giving you a wider picture. Then there are large twitter communities such as Everton twitter or Irish twitter, where it's more like a community than a news source.
As for the newspaper, I used to read the Globe and half the pages may as well have been blank. Stopped reading when a certain RS owner bought it!
