I think he can be a decent squad player here in time. At lower levels he's shown he can score and had the right idea on how to finish tonight at such a critical time.

All i can say is that Dom would not have scored that goal today. He would have either lost the ball, hit it wide or straight at the goalie. Simms has the natural strength and ability, just needs a run of games to build up his confidence and experience and the lad will probably do ok.

There was a bit of overdue good fortune in the actual goal. But the play to get from outside the defender to inside him with a power move was big time. He has clearly earned an expanded opportunity to play.

Besides dcl there's nobody in the squad who can do that, pace then outmuscle the defender and strikers instinct with the finish. Gray has done well up top to an extent but he's not a striker.
