Transfer Rumour Eliaquim Mangala

I say it every time he has a horror show, but hopefully that's the last we see of that cart horse bellend Ashley Williams. Some captain eh, Aubameyang scores from a metre offside and the centre back captain standing next to him doesn't even bothered questioning the decision to allow the goal.

Keane is rubbish so forget about him. Jagielka actually displayed against Leicester that he can still put in a shift. I'd be going with Holgate and Jagielka until the end of the season and Mangala left back.

Failing that, as Martina apparently is the Curaçaoian Roberto Carlos in Allardyce's eyes, go with Holgate and Mangala.

Coleman should now be given a run in the side after being rested yesterday.

Coleman Holgate Jagielka Mangala for me.

Schneiderin should never pull on our shirt again. Davies needs to take his place, and Bolasie should be put in the under 10s side and never given a game again. Even if he's out of position, please play Sigurdsson there, and Rooney in centre midfield with Gueye.

I don't get what is so hard about playing this....

Pickford
Coleman
Holgate
Jagielka
Mangala
Gueye
Rooney
Davies
Walcott
Sigurdsson
Tosun / DCL / Niasse

Seriously, I don't get paid six million a year but I know that'd get us more points that the sides Allardyce is sending out at the moment.
This is about his bonus nothing more. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him sacrifice every away game just to keep “select” players fresh

Watched the game v Arsenal on Saturday mainly to see how Manga performed for you, and I must say I thought he had on balance a tidy game, which comes as something of a shock, he's had some real "mares" for us!

Did he give away a lot of pens mate? I seem to recall him making a few clangers but i might be thinking of someone else?

I think he also feels it is in his interest to finish not too far above the trap door.

It is more in keeping with the image he has created of himself as a hired gunslinger who rides into town when a team is in the lower reaches of the EPL and over the course of half a season he grinds out just enough points to survive and then ride off into the sunset with his “reputation” as a “miracle worker” intact.

Achieving safety with three months of a season to go would mean he misses his fix because it appears to me he gets off on fighting relegation.

At Everton the run we had after the Saints debacle had dispelled all thoughts of relegation and had us looking up at a run for 7th and a possible European jaunt next season.

But like the Grand Old Duke of York, having got us up the hill, Sam promptly reverted to type at Baggies and Bournemouth and has been marching us back down that hill ever since :(

He has a record of losing concentration, making errors at vital moments and scoring own goals.

He has a record of making 'clumsy' tackles leading to penalties, bookings, sending-offs and suspensions.

He also has a record of running strongly and scoring goals from set pieces.

His Carabao Cup semifinal performance against Bristol City was the final straw for Guardiola.

In the mid 1600s, the Brits took from the Netherlands colonial territory in America, (thereto held by the Dutch), which the Netherlanders had coined 'New Amsterdam'. The Brits' sortie was financed by the future Charles II...then, the Duke of York. Honouring their financier, the Brits renamed the captured territory ... 'New York'.
Thus, the last Catholic Monarch of England has captured enduring legacy.

Yet not a lot of people know the historical etymology (tautology alert!!!) of 'New York'

For them as don’t, I would recommend Edward Rutherford’s splendid novel, “New York”.

That Mangala was awful at Arsenal.

The nursery rhyme that @Khalekan refers to is also based around a battle in the War of the Roses, which took place at the ruins of Sandal Castle, around 500 yards from my house. Go figure :)

But yeh, Mangala had a bit of a mare.

Play him alongside Holgate once Baines is back. I am sure he'll look good.

Coleman Holgate Mangala Baines

Two right footed players, two left footed players, and all in their preferred positions.

Hurry up Leighton ffs. Your return transforms our defence.
