Transfer Rumour Eliaquim Mangala

I like this guy. Will strengthen our left side, which has become an embarrassment and is exploited by every team we play. Who knows how good we could be if this was fixed.

On 11 August 2014, Mangala signed for English club Manchester City on a five-year contract,[22] for a reported £31.8 million transfer fee.[23][24] It was however reported 18 months into his contract that the fee was more in the region of £42m due to spiralling costs as a result of Mangala's split ownership at Porto, with City having to pay in the region of £18m to two companies which owned over 40% of Mangala's economic rights.
Wowzerz. Thats even worse. Thats almost VVD money in todays money.

If he comes I hope he is a huge success because that will be good for us.
I was not hugely impressed the couple of times I saw him play for City , but then at times Stones hasn't been that impressive either.

We need a centre half and City paid 42m for him just a couple of years ago...well worth a shot.

In fact it is very similar to the type of deal Moyes was so good at.

Been offered to Leicester as part of the mahrez deal apparently
I think it more likely City will offer an attacking player to replace an attacking player.

If Everton have shown a desire to sign Mangala I think that may impress him more than going as a makeweight to Leicester to sweeten the pot in a bigger deal.

Its an understatement to say he's not that good, even on loan. There is a possibility he may form part of the Mahrez deal so don't fret too much yet. We need cover in the middle, a relatively cheap option, vastly superior to Mangala, is Flint at Bristol City, unlike Mangala he scores goals, can jump, he'd throw himself in front of a train to block it and he reads a back line far better than this Citeh reject. They want £10 MIL, pocket money in today's market

Do you honestly believe Aden Flint, a 28 year old uncapped player from Bristol city is a “vastly superior” player to Mangala?

Do you honestly believe that? Serious question.
