Based on what I saw of his matches for Valencia less than a year ago, just a few, he seems quite alright. To whoever said he is lumbering that definitely didnt look like the case, on one occassion it was a fast break the other way, and everyone is sprinting down the field and he is easily passing just about everyone else. Was quite impressive...

Hes better with the ball at his feet than Williams, but then again so is everybody. Interesting to see Man City paid the equivalent of 40 million in todays dollars for him back in 2014.

I am a joke?

Stating some facts there mate. To play that formation you need a pivot, someone who has decent passing range, find your fullback bombing on.

I don’t know what’s to see through but if I remember correctly you used to be on Kipper?

Yes Sigurdsson can’t pass to the level that’s needed he’s a free kick specialist.

You obviously have very little understanding if you think Coleman passing is up for debate asa RB he doesn’t need to be spraying ball around.

Sigurdsson is a terrific passer. I swear, where you guys get some of these opinions.

On 11 August 2014, Mangala signed for English club Manchester City on a five-year contract,[22] for a reported £31.8 million transfer fee.[23][24] It was however reported 18 months into his contract that the fee was more in the region of £42m due to spiralling costs as a result of Mangala's split ownership at Porto, with City having to pay in the region of £18m to two companies which owned over 40% of Mangala's economic rights.

If Mangala can defend well, show strength and speed as a CB, defend on set pieces, he's a massive upgrade over Jags and Williams at a minimum. Having an option to buy in the summer could be useful.

Would I have rather had an actual left back - yes

I am going to be super upset about a loan for a player that might be able to help our defense - no

It's not a dream signing, but the downside is low.

I want this guy less than I wanted Cleverley, he’s not a footballer.

At least Snivvers wasn’t on stupid wages from when he was made one of the worlds most expensive players in his position by a clueless Man City.
