It wasn't just him mate, our midfield is terrible. We dont close down and we never win the loose ball.

I agree. The lack of intensity in closing down the ball is shocking. But I think that's tactics not the players. When the crowd went nuts on them v kiev at goodison we upped the intensity to close down. Martinez tactics went out the windows and the players got stuck in.

You can make it up to us by buying Alcaraz for 5M.

If he doesn't agree tell him well pay him 5 million to take him. Well ship him for free to anywhere in the world. We'll DHL his ass (prob cost us a bit in weight like) today. Bubble wrap him Box him up and first class this heap of ......

The TV caught me last night...

....I thought we were tactically inept, very poorly set up. Very early in the game a ball went from their right into the box where Coleman was out jumped. The way he set up midfield with Naismith playing 'narrow' meant Baines in particular was exposed, the 2 central midfielders were dragged into wide positions and often chasing shadows.

I think RM tried to be clever rather than setting up conventional and difficult to break down. I said pre-match that 2 goals should suffice, we achieved that but for a Premiership team to concede 5 in any game is a reflection in how they were set up. Very poor and the coach is accountable.

...to be fair, quite a few on here suggested he should start. Personally, I wasn't overly concerned when I saw him on the team sheet but he did have a shocker. I really have a concern, though, that the back four are not coached to ensure they are a cohesive defensive unit. We appear to have 4 individuals sent out there to defend. It can't be like that. Coleman and Alcaraz in particular were running around with no assurance or stability, indeed I think 2 of the goals came from balls bouncing of Coleman and another deflected off him.

The fact it was keystone cops stuff is more a reflection on the coach than the players.

I had to google keystone cops.
Our defenders are in fact keystone cops!
