I’m not his biggest fan but he’s still an Everton player and I believe this will bring the best out of him and if he gets game time he will give his all maybe waken up beast mode within him and plays out of his skin so to speak. Everyone can be sad mate. I empathise...but only so far when they have the world at their feet.
Might there be a case that - for some, perhaps many - the echo chamber of Evertonian exceptionalism they wrap themselves up in is maybe similar to fascists and patriotism? That the protective ferocity they hit back at detractors might be one eyed, self serving and insincere. Dont see how it does either of them any favours, the lad is going to be looking for a club in four months time, last thing you want is a potential employer name blackened all over Social Media, other employers will take note.
