2025/26 Dwight McNeil

If it was any other club than Palace, I'd be more inclined to point the finger at Everton.

Even our neighbours had a nightmare with them.

Their incompetence is why they're Conference League, and Forest are Europa League. That's the joke Kieran Maguire is making on the tweet you shared.

I don't understand how anybody, ever, could point the finger at the selling club for a deal collapsing. You could maybe argue in some cases that such and such a bid should have been accepted; hypothetical e.g 'we should have bit Forest's hand off for that £23 million offer for Beto. Madness to knock that back.' But I'm not sure there's a universe where a club accept a bid, don't move the goalposts on price, yet are somehow to blame for a deal not going through.

If people think we held out for too much, then I think they're stuck in 2009. You pay 10-20 million for a good Championship player, with no PL experience these days, and it's often clubs in the Championship paying that sort of money.

Dwight's got 22 PL goals and 35 PL assists to his name. I don't think it's a stretch to be expecting £20 million for him.

I think it’s you that has lost the perspective mate. She’s talking about the mental health perspective. Mental health doesn’t happens to many people, of all standings. There’s a section on mental health in this actual forum, I think we shouldn’t dismiss the effects so quickly. She never once mentioned that they were suffering hardships, only the toll that the situation has taken on her partner.

Do me a favour.

Like I said, try being on the breadline for a week or two.

This world’s gone soft.

just watch a vid of his goals for us in recent years - yes he looks like he's running in quicksand BUT I have to say he has scored some of the most aesthetically pleasing goals that I have seen from someone in an Everton shirt

Maguire was always going to pile on this given he's a Brighton fan (living on Merseyside)

Well its pretty clear they think its palace's fault

It's a business at the end of the day and these things will continue to happen. But I'll never understand why clubs leave things to the last hour on deadline. It's a sign of a disorganised club and leads to situations like this were players get let down. It's certainly all very avoidable with better forward planning.
Do you know when you go into your Supermarket at night and you see a pile of people round the Discount shelf......this is a visual representation of the last day of Transfer Deadline Day.
