Think you are winding people up to some extent but it's a good point: This supposed ogre of a man who many on here seem to hate (and I'm not saying they have no justification for that) may just be able to bully and shame the large corporations (that the world normally kow-tows to) into paying their fare share and supporting communities rather than just looking after their bottom line profits.

Still amuses me that the soon to be president is still getting the negative media coverage all the time, even in england.

I think this will be trump as president in a nutshell, all the media bought off to paint him in a bad light all the time no matter how good he may well be doing. If he bombs a massive terrorist camp, the media will talk about the 2 civilians killed, he lowers tax, made to look like he is profiting etc.

He is an utter nutbag, using the position of President of the United States of America for his own personal gain.

How do you spin that to be a good thing? LITERALLY everything he has done on his campaign and subsequently has shown this.

(Hiding his tax returns is clear evidence he plans to capitalise on his conflict of interests.)

Even the good things he claims so far (saving jobs in the manufacturing industry) have been gigantic demonstrable lies, often offset by goverment subsidy (THAT IS NUTS IN ITSELF!).

Have to say this whole outpouring of gratitude for Obama releasing Chelsea Manning sticks in the throat a bit - you would almost think from the reporting that her offending, arrest, conviction, treatment as a detainee and treatment in the media hadn't all happened whilst he was in charge and largely at the direction of his appointees.

He isn't even letting her out straight away either, so she will have to spend three months in prison being told by the media that Trump will probably revoke it.

Really glad to see the White House Press Corp (through the Columbia Journalism Review) putting on a united front.

When they're going to have to spend 4 years (well, if he makes it that far) dealing with the likes of Kelly Ann Conway (has she ever said anything truthful?) and Sean Spicer, and with a President like Trump who simply shouts down reporters whose questions, or organisations he doesn't like, it's essential that they work together to force answers to difficult questions.

I hope they do as well, but there is zero chance of that happening and such was their behaviour during the election I am not sure that many people would believe them even if they did.

Me too, It's almost like someone with experience leading teams but no experience in/knowledge of football was appointed Everton manager on the back of baseless claims that he could make Everton great again.
