Current Affairs Donald Trump POS: Judgement cometh and that right soon

Still amuses me that the soon to be president is still getting the negative media coverage all the time, even in england.

I think this will be trump as president in a nutshell, all the media bought off to paint him in a bad light all the time no matter how good he may well be doing. If he bombs a massive terrorist camp, the media will talk about the 2 civilians killed, he lowers tax, made to look like he is profiting etc.
If he lowers tax on top wage earners while (for one) removing healthcare coverage from those who struggle to afford it, damn straight he should be criticised.

I love the way so many people seem to think he's suddenly going to be a different person once he takes office, and how they're acting like all of a sudden he should be given a clean slate.

He didn't change when he became a GOP primary candidate
He didn't change when he became a Presidential Candidate
He hasn't changed now he's become President Elect

Why on earth would the next jump be any different?

He's absolutely conned the people who voted for him, and eventually they'll get over the embarrassment phase and get really angry about it. He ran on a pledge to (amongst many other more unpleasant things) "Drain The Swamp". What part of appointing a load of billionaires, sycophants and the likes of Steve Bannon is "draining the swamp", exactly?

EDIT: Oh and this is all without mentioning that he'll be in violation of the constitution from day 1 of his Presidency.

What on earth are you talking about.

Both the Green Party and Libertarians have been running off the basis of electoral reform since god knows when.
Well this clearly has to be bipartisan effort if it would be ever changed.

Electoral college is Genius system and it prevents NY / California hegemonia.

This country is center right. Always has been.
who mentioned anything about that?

I'm talking about the zero news stories positive spins on anything he does. Picking one thing out doesn't disprove what i mean.

Especially for the fact more of his country wanted him than the other candidate as well but the man seems to have bought the election at a silent auction and therefore the media run any and every bad spin they can on him.

The battle to turn American opinion into enlightened European opinion is endless.

second time i have posted that link mate. It is a page full of Trump stories and all negative in one way or another.

Maybe that's because it's on a section within a website labelled Donald Trump.

Should have a look at salon.com whose whole purpose of existence seems to be to generate huge numbers of anti-Trump stories every day.

Bit of the obverse of the uks Daily Mail where I once counted 8 separate anti-Corby stories in the same day....

That is what i mean. Corbyn is the same in this country, so many negative things attached to him as if it is an agenda to discredit him on the thought he may actually win people around come election time.

i actually think its good idea that the president represents all states and not just population, but there at least be smaller seats(like UK system) and not just states...as the election is now decided by a few swing states

A system in which the victor could come from 11 states is inherently flawed.

Moreover, a system in which a Wyoming voter has three times more representation than a California voter isn't exactly fair.

and? heres one for you then

Chomsky is to the left of the narrative, as are many on this forum. American public opinion (as Groseclose measures it) is to the right of the narrative.

That doesn't change the way the narrative is delivered. Chomsky sees it. Groseclose sees it.

The pressure is always on to bend to the will of the narrative by endlessly repeating the narrative while checklisting key items for validation, acceptance, and credulity. For those who were influenced most by the narrative, Trump was eliminated as a candidate on the basis of credulity. That's what eliminated him for me, and so how smart am I? The joke's on you for reading this far down, I suppose.

That's also a big reason those who lost are so at sea.

I have no idea what comes next. I live in hope. It's a lot like supporting a football club that way.
