Me too, It's almost like someone with experience leading teams but no experience in/knowledge of football was appointed Everton manager on the back of baseless claims that he could make Everton great again.
Then he makes Robert Elstone his chief scout!

The only hope I have is that the tactless buffoon deletes his twitter account. It's an utter embarrassment for the nation.

I hope they do as well, but there is zero chance of that happening and such was their behaviour during the election I am not sure that many people would believe them even if they did.
I would have said there was zero chance of them even getting as far as the open letter to Trump and his administration, so let's live in hope.

But I grant you, having faith in a group that gave as much if not more airtime to Clinton having pneumonia as it did to Trump's massive conflict of interest liabilities (to pick just ONE of the hugely significant stories about his that were glossed over) shows what a bad state we're in.

I'm just going to hope that their base instinct for self preservation leads to them working together to an extent, since America's governmental treatment of the Press is likely to take a pretty unpleasant shift over the next 4 years.

Here's the letter for anyone who hasn't seen it.":

Also, how in the hell did "FAKE NEWS" end up being something that Donald Trump uses to decry (often entirely accurate) reporting?!

FAKE NEWS is a significant part of the reason he's going to be President!!

It's like we're living in an episode of the fkn Twilight Zone!

Oh it's like that lol

Explain please.
Yeah pretty much.

No press conferences between "please Russia hack hillary" and last week?

And when he finally did hold one, he called CNN "fake news" (for a report which was anything but) and shouted down a reporter who wanted a question in response to those allegations, and his press secretary then threatened to throw that reporter out of the conference. Then afterwards Spicer demanded an apology from CNN and the reporter!

And now the latest stories that it's possible or even likely that the Press Corp is going to be kicked out of the West Wing.

So yeah, starting out by being somewhat more reasonable in how his administration deals with the press, and acting a little less like his hero Putin would be a good start.

Are you seriously suggesting that Trump has been unfair towards mainstream media ?

So you're just going to ignore the points I made then? Ok here goes...

I suppose ultimately it depends on your definition of "fair"...

But when you systematically refuse to answer their questions or even prevent them from ASKING their questions, you fundamentally inhibit their ability to properly inform the electorate.

When this is combined by sending out surrogates like the pathological liar Kelly Ann Conway, yeah I'd cal it pretty unfair on the press.

The Press conference thing is absurd. 167 days (including the run up to the election, Election Day and two months after) without giving the Press direct access to you is ridiculous, and yes, entirely unfair.

Of course we know WHY he did that, because he is fundamentally unequipped to deal with direct unprepared questioning, and his campaign were terrified of what would happen. But guess what - he ran for president and part of what that involves is putting yourself out there for the Press to directly question, and let the chips fall where they may.
