Do you deny that our policy on allowing unchecked illegal immigration has implications domestically?
Everything has implications.

Whether I believe the implications are generally more positive or more negative is a more interesting question. I personally believe the benefit that economies see when allowing a freer flow of labor is far more beneficial than the risks involved in religious extremism, and that religious extremism is fostered by segregation.

So yes, it has implications. Yes, some of those are negative. Yes, I believe illegal immigration should be actioned. I just believe we should do that by streamlining the legal process so fewer people feel the need to cross undocumented.

Having played an integral role in creating the crisis and then perpetuating it by not reacting correctly.

Again; we are cursing the outcome and not scrutinising the causes of Trump's election / Brexit. We give to foodbanks, we commemorate atrocities, but we fundamentally have refused to look into why we have let these things happen. You see it in here - 'Don't blame me, I didn't vote for him'. No-one cares; but we all helped foster an environment where it was allowed to occur.

You've done outstandingly well today, orly. ;)

Dont support trump (or hiliary for that matter), i started following everton to watch Tim and Landon (when he was on loan) but got hooked by the clubs history and fans.
That's fine mate, like I said everyone has their own reasons, i just find it hard to see how someone who *does* follow the same politics as someone like trump, or is a Tory or whatever can relate to Everton football club, that's all.

What I find hard is how these right wing head the balls find any connection to the city of Liverpool, and even worse a connection to Everton?

I don't care who supports Everton from afar, but if your politics is im alright jack bollocks to you lot nonsense then what do you see in Everton that means you relate to the club, to the area, to the people the club represents?

Eitc for example is the very antithesis of right wing politics, and something I'm immensely proud of as a local resident because I can see with my own eyes, and through family members who are supported through it the good it does and obviously because it appeals to my core values.

Presumably the more right wing followers feel this is money that should be kept by the club, the rope ladder pulled up so to speak?

Fortunately you don't speak for the vast majority of Evertonians who don't give a rats ass about another Evertonians political leanings, lifestyle, religious upbringing, or home life.

In short, I and no doubt many others will find your post above highly offensive.

That's understandable, just pointing out that politics ranks pretty low on the list of how Americans would choose an overseas football club

Good.

The very fact that a Trump voting Texan thinks he can tell me about the opinions of the vast majority of Everton fans offends me. :)

Not offended, but its utterly ridiculous.

I don't think 8 year olds in America choose clubs based on anything.

I sense you took offence to my comment, it clearly wasn't aimed at good folk like yourself, like I said I'm not arsed where people are from but Christ when you're old enough to realise the facts surely something would hit home.

The irony in that last sentence....

Temporary restrictions on immigration until determinations are made of who exactly is coming into a country are prudent and sensible. You'll find it hard to argue otherwise, especially as the media runs stories daily about the massive issues accompanying a mass influx of people across borders with absolutely zero control

Have you ever looked at the source of the report Trump used as a basis for this policy?

I think its pretty safe to say(as an american), from reading some of the comments on here, that most of you have as much of a clue about americans, american politics, culture, and what they actually think/believe/are like/ as I do about Brits, which is to say, not much. I also tend to see much like in America, its the loudest ones that usually know the least, but think they know the most!
